Stand up for Immy. ❄️♥️🏈 Our Co-Owner Brooke Jackson caught up with @news4buffalo to highlight the 716 Blizzard’s full support for 8-year-old Imogen “Immy” Painter from Erie, PA. Immy played full-contact football for the Erie Catholic Knights the entire regular season. The reward for her dedication? Getting pulled from the active roster just 4 days before playoffs simply because she’s a girl. Girls belong on the gridiron. When one of us is benched by outdated rules, we ALL speak up. Drop a 🏈 in the comments if you stand with Immy, and SHARE this to amplify her voice across WNY and NWPA! #LetHerPlay #LetImmyPlay #716Blizzard #BuffaloFootball

She doesn’t need permission to play football. She doesn’t need anyone’s approval to take the field. And she sure doesn’t need to prove that football is only for boys. Immy is 8 years old, and she’s out there doing what she loves. Taking hits. Getting back up. Learning the game. Coming back for more. That’s football. Our 716 Blizzard players had the opportunity to watch her play, and we couldn’t be prouder to support a young girl who’s challenging expectations simply by doing what she loves. The game is for those willing to put in the work. Never let somebody else’s expectations decide how far you can go. Who inspired you to chase something people said you couldn’t do? Tell us in the comments. #716Blizzard #WomensFootball #GirlsWhoPlaySports #FootballCulture #WomenInSports

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER ❄️ July 18 was about more than football. It was about celebrating the people, the moments, and the community that make the 716 Blizzard what it is. From players and coaches to family, friends, supporters, and everyone who continues to believe in the growth of women’s tackle football in Buffalo — this night was a reminder that the Blizzard is bigger than the game. The season may end, but the mission continues. Building women’s football. Building confidence. Building community. Building the next generation of athletes right here in Buffalo, Western New York, and the 716. This is Blizzard Nation. Be the Blizzard. Feel the Storm. ❄️ #716Blizzard #BuffaloFootball #BuffaloNY #BuffaloSports #WomensFootball

🔥 PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: EMILY KOERNER # 2🔥 Why settle for being a one-position player when you can be a TRIPLE THREAT? 🥶🌪️ Emily brings the heat for the 716 Blizzard as a Wide Receiver, Safety AND Running Back. 💪🏽🏈 That means she can catch it, run it, and come right back and make the stop. Offense or defense — Emily is ready to make an impact. This is what women’s football looks like: versatile, physical, confident, and UNSTOPPABLE. 🔥 Buffalo, you better know the name Emily Koerner # 2 because she’s coming to BE THE BLIZZARD. ❄️ 👇 Which position would YOU want to play — WR, RB, or Safety? #716Blizzard #BuffaloFootball #WFAFootball
