Just like that, my competitive college golf career has come to an end. Golf has pushed me in ways I didn’t know was possible not just as an athlete, but as a person.

Thank you to my dad and macdaddy for introducing me to this game in the first place. You didn’t just put a club in my hands but you gave me something that would quite literally become one of the most defining parts of my life. Thank you for the constant push to be better and for believing in me even when I didn’t fully believe in myself.

To my parents and grandparents especially my mimi, macdaddy, and dad thank you for showing up. Through high school tournaments and college rounds, you were always there. Even when I didn’t play well, even when I was frustrated, even when it probably wasn’t the easiest thing to sit through……you still came. I don’t think I ever said it enough, but seeing you there meant more than any score ever could.

“Days are long but Years are short.” To my parents.. i just want to thank you guys for letting me get this experience. this was the best decision i ever made and these girls are the best people i ever met and coach has been there for me every step of the way, but none of this would have ever been possible without you guys. i love yall so much for giving me something’s that’s so hard to let go and accept is happening. To my teammates.. i am so blessed i got to meet you all and get to share this experience with you. it was never about score, it was about us and our shared love for chasing a little white ball around for 18 holes. I will forever miss the van rides, long practices, tournament days, and every memory in between. I love you all endlessly.
To my coaches.. Coach Craig, you took a chance on me and I will never be able to repay you. You gave me a family away from home that I never knew I needed. Jordan, my OG pookie, you have helped me find myself off and on the course. I am so blessed to have had you as a coach, mentor, and my friend. Emily, I may have only known you for a short time but you allowed me to realize a score does not define who we are. You have helped the team so much and I can’t wait to see where you take them. As this chapter closes of my athletic career, another one opens to continue being on this team as their Grad Assistant! Thank you to everyone who has supported me and followed along these crazy 4 years! Go cowboys and cowgirls! 💜
