POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hi, let me reintroduce myself. 🤍

I’m Emily Temple — Level 2 Reiki practitioner, tarot reader, teeth-whitening girlie, and a firm believer that taking care of yourself can be both beautiful and deeply intentional.

This page is evolving into a space for all the things I love:

✨ Energy + Reiki
🔮 Tarot + intuition
🤍 Wellness + self-care
🦷 A brighter, more confident smile
🌙 And a little everyday magic

I wanted to create a space that feels like exhaling — soft, feminine, elevated, mystical, and welcoming.

Whether you’re here for a Reiki session, a tarot reading, a confidence boost, or simply a little inspiration to pour back into yourself…

you’re in the right place. 🌞

Your low calorie, low carb, high cardio plan isn’t gonna get you the results you want. Here’s why ⬇️

If you think about your metabolism from an evolutionary standpoint, our bodies/metabolisms have adapted to slow down to preserve energy (aka store fat) when we don’t have a consistent supply of food (aka restrictive low calorie diets) and need more energy to move and survive (aka cardio and other movement)

This naturally puts your body in a state of stress

The stress causes you to crave hyper-palatable foods to calm that anxiety

Your body will store this as fat because your metabolism goes “damn this girl doesn’t feed us more than 1200 calories a day, and she needs to expend energy, let’s hold on to this to keep her alive”

So you then feel guilt and shame like you’re doing “something wrong” and you then restrict to “get back on track” which further perpetuates the cycle.

Even if that low carb, low calorie diet gets you to your weight loss goals. What happens after that? Can you sustain it? If not, you will not be able to keep the results you achieved.

That’s why TRAINING your metabolism is so important. All these women in these photos started working with me eating less than 1300 cals/day and doing more cardio than was beneficial to them.

So in order to get them out of that place, we put them through a very slow reverse diet. Which basically means meeting your metabolism where it’s at, slowly increasing the calories while reducing the cardio and really focusing on progressive overload to build more muscle

And every single one of them achieved their results with ease.

Why?

Because their metabolism was able to chill tf out and start doing it’s job because it was getting a consistent supply of food/macro nutrients.

And because they had less CRAVINGS because they weren’t feeling restricted.

And because they had extra food, their bodies were able to use it efficiently as FUEL for their workouts

This is how you set yourself up for long term success, not by restricting or punishing yourself with tons of cardio.

Save this as a reminder next time you feel like going in a restrictive diet to get to your goals 😉
