Hello #tututuesday with my first Traditional boned tutu.
This amazing creation is for the lovely @honeybeezzzz306 Anna.
There are many people I need to thank for there help to get this across the line. The first is the lovely @emma22mcintyre for her knowledge and advice in getting the ball rolling. @tutusthatdance for drafting me a custom pattern. The ladies at both @frankestuartfabrics and @shinetrimmingsfabrics for their advice on all things fabrics and haberdashery. The lovely Kelly from @sequins_in_the_sunshine for the quick advice when I was having a meltdown. But the biggest thanks of all to my amazing Mother on Law Glenys for her guidance, support, hands on work and her time to help me put this together. She is my rock and mentor with all things sewing. The tutu was certainly a team project.
I’m very proud of it, and will probably take on another when I’m not so busy with my first love of stretch tutus.

Ballet always has been in Piper’s soul.. it’s her way to connect with others and express herself freely. From a teeny tiny 2 year old to this teen on tip-toe, ballet is and always has been her life. Today I danced in my very first @wollongongeisteddfod ballet scholarship. I only JUST qualified for the 13+ age cutoff for this section by 4 days so I was definitely the baby!!

Although I didn’t place, I am proud of how I danced against some beautiful competitors and am so happy that I performed my variation en pointe for the first time. It was also a surprise to be interviewed and filmed for WIN news!

Congratulations to all of the award winners at tonight’s presentation and thank you to @wollongongeisteddfod for such a lovely showcase night. See you next year!

To my teachers @vanessaleedance .. @vanessaleecorrie @chrishaineschoreography @chloechapmanchoreo thank you so much for all that you do. I felt very prepared this year and very honoured to represent you all with my beautiful routines. Time to get back into the studio to work on new goals 💜

** The Aus Prix 2025 **

This year I was selected to perform at the semi-finals for The Aus Prix @theausprix in Melbourne.

Over the long weekend I took classes with Cynthia Harvey, Jess Thompson and Kirsty Martin Welch, as well as solo coaching with Nathan Coppen. I then performed my classical variation and contemporary routine. I thoroughly enjoyed my first interstate classical competition and hope to try some more! Thank you to @theausprix for inviting me to participate, the classes and feedback were invaluable.

Congratulations to the 11 beautiful dancers who made the final round and a massive congrats to the winner and runner up dancers @angela_zhenle, Swiss and @claudia_westrup 💗

As always, a huge shout out to my teachers and supporters @chrishaineschoreography @chloe_chapman__ @charlee_corrie and @johawksworth at @vanessaleedance, I couldn’t do it without you. To Emma @emma22mcintyre thank you so much for my beautiful variation dress, it couldn’t have turned out more perfect.

Miss V @vanessaleecorrie … your guidance and support mean the absolute world to me. I am so proud to represent you and I just love our lessons together. Thank you for all that you do for me.. I can’t wait to see what comes next 💜
