16-year-old singer and a familiar face from Malta’s Got Talent Season 1, @emma_cutajar , will be representing our country in the Commonwealth Song Contest.

The contest, which was first held in 2018 during the Commonwealth Games, is an international music event for the 56 nations in the Commonwealth.

Administered by the UK Songwriting Contest, the finalists were announced to reveal that Emma will be the singer representing the island in this now renowned competition.

The song was written by Emma when she was 14 years old as a tribute to her sister whom she never got the chance to meet. She first performed this song during the first season of Malta’s Got Talent, earning her the Golden Buzzer by judge Maxine Attard Aquilina.

16-year-old Emma Cutajar will be representing Malta as a finalist in the Commonwealth Song Contest with her song "I Miss You" 🤩

The Commonwealth Song Contest (CSC) is an international music event for the 56 Commonwealth nations & is organised by the UK Songwriting Contest 🎶

The Maltese singer & songwriter is 1 of 7 finalists performing in the contest. Cutajar wrote the song when she was 14, dedicated to her sister whom she never got the chance to meet because she passed away before Emma was born.

The winning country & songwriters are chosen via international public votes. We wish @emma_cutajar the best of luck for the contest 💪
