When you go for a hike and find the perfect spot to jump in the lake 💦

@emma_terrazas is here to visit and watch my doggos for me this weekend while I head to Rhode Island for a wedding!!

So of course with the one full day we have together I had to show her what nature I have here right at my fingertips ✨️

Who's coming to visit me next??

.

PS get you some friends who are willing to spontaneously swim mid hike 💛 to say I'm grateful for Emma and our friendship is a giant understatement 🥹 love you lots lady 🫂🫂🫂

Helloooo undisclosed location in the Midwest! 1st day of filming! Thank you all for your prayers. Now I just have normal jitters and not Angela-sponsored ones. Keep praying. 🤣

Be kind to yourself.

This was us in 2017, making our first project.

A lot has changed since then.

And a lot has stayed the same.

We’re still learning.
Still making.
Still figuring it out.
Still going.

So if you’re somewhere in the middle of your own journey, give yourself some grace.

Keep going.

Look how far you’ve come.

We are 2 days and 6% away from reaching our goal!! Huge thank you and shout out to our supporters!

We are so grateful not just for your support of the film but also for our incredible majority queer, women/non-binary BIPOC team behind the scenes turning this vision into a reality.

We know we can’t do this without community so let’s keep this momentum going all the way to the finish line!!

Pledging is simple:
• Go to our Seed&Spark page (link in bio)
• Check out the incentive tiers
• Choose your pledge amount (no need to tip)

If pledging isn’t feasible right now, you can still support us!
• Become a follower on the campaign and share the page with others
• Like and share this post in your stories
• Follow @lastmanstandingfilm

Every little bit helps and we are deeply grateful for your contributions 🌈 !

Today, it was a Domingos de Cine with my guest Sophie Gordon from @chifilmfest about this year’s Latin American films, and some of the surprises coming to one of the longest-running film festivals in the U.S. 🎬

I was also joined by @latinefilmgang and the talented @erikavalenciana, @emma_terrazas, and @raulito_b to talk about local film, Chicago’s Latine film community, and the work they’re doing to create more representation and community.

My favorite time of year. 🍂🎞️
