Another round of collaboration of HK Ballet and Disneyland for their Stella Lu performance at StoryBook Theater!
Had another team of young adults who most came overseas to stay with us for 3 months rehearsing and performing 5 shows a day with very tough choreography!
I am proud to have been there to assist and guide as BalletMaster to this generation of young talents.
Thank you to @septimewebre and @hongkongballet for letting me be a part of this great team working alongside the greats @shenjie_sj and @weiwei810926 with careful organising from @mindyourruthtop .
Even though stressful with hard work and no days off for 3 months, I am proud to have been a part of this event ☺️👏🏼👏🏼
Hope to be a part of this event if they do it again, and look forward to see all dancers in their future careers forward!
Thank you for trusting me! It was thrilling to see how you grew each show and had fun always!

so this is goodbye💕(last post i promise)

wrapping up the final administrative work, i couldn’t help but look back to the days before it all began. i remember imagining meeting all of you for the first time. many of you are so young, some closer to my age. looking at your names (some beautifully long and hard to pronounce) and your faces, i kept wondering: could this be real? am i really about to work with the best talents from around the world, AND artists i’ve looked up to for years? i genuinely couldn’t wait for our paths to cross.
and looking back now, it was even better than anything i could have imagined. we didn't just work together; we became close friends and the ultimate team. most of us don’t speak English as our first language, and a few barely speak any at all (🤣), but our connection went far beyond what words could convey. the challenges were massive, the schedule was overwhelming, and the work was physically demanding—but we had each other's backs.
these tasks were completely new to me too. i grew from panicking the entire time, to panicking slightly less, to finally mastering the art of pretending i wasn't panicking at all. after all, i had the absolute honour of being called your company manager (even though my official contract says “artistic administrator”). my mission was to share your concerns, ease your pain, and clear your doubts.
thank you for everything🫶 thank you for your kindness, for sharing your artistry so generously, and for being vulnerable enough to rely on me. we actually did it.😭

All that I miss , ♥

I’m so glad I filmed so much on video. Still, it makes me so sad that the scent, the air, the space, and the vibe of that moment are slowly fading from my memory. You all mean so much to me and I miss you dearly •• 💭🎞️

How lucky I am to have met all of you and missing you now. I can’t believe it ended. It’s been so wonderful having this experience with you, I loved every moment we spent together. And the more time i spent with you, the more I wanted to spend. It almost feels like it was a dream; so wonderful, and suddenly, it’s over. Now it’s just a memory. A wonderful, wonderful memory.
