Metadidomi - Greek word for "IMPART" An impartation of knowledge. Topic: WAKE UP FROM YOUR BACKSLIDING Text: John 21 v 1-3 After Jesus left, the disciples under the leadership of Peter went fishing. They left their calling and place of assignment as FISHERS OF MEN and went back to FISHING. God showed up for them as a good father, took care of them and their immediate needs and then turned their focus back to their ministry and primary place of assignment. Whenever we leave our God ordained place and assignment what always ensues is a struggling. There are 3 levels of backsliding in John 15 -The Lost Sheep -The Missing Coin -The prodigal Son ***The lost sheep was no longer a lamb hence it was able to reproduce it's kind to benefit it's owner. The lost coin had purchasing power and would have been of benefit to it's owner. The prodigal son was grown up, having attained sonship he had his father's authority and would have been of immense help to his father. ***The lost sheep represents the believer who has strayed from the fold altogether. The lost coin represents the believer who is lost in the house. Right there in the fold yet his value cannot be utilized in the church because of unavailability. The prodigal son represents the believer who has grown, is no longer a child yet has veered off regardless of all he has received from his father. ***In all three cases of backsliding/loss, the owners took responsibility and ensured the restoration of their belongings. -The shepherd who lost sheep left the 99 and went in search of the missing one. -The woman who lost her coin, lit the entire house and swept till she found it. -The father of the prodigal son ran to his son when he saw him approaching. ***God, the owner of every believer is in search of His own. Jesus said to the Father "All that you gave to me I have kept..." He also gives us a responsibility as His children to go in search of other children. The Father is love Himself and He shows this love by ensuring that His children don't go missing. *Continued in comment section*
