💫 Last Sunday’s Retreat Day reminded me exactly why I love what I do.
After 35 years of teaching, I can honestly say I never get bored of this, moving bodies, sharing knowledge, and making people feel better when they leave than when they arrived.. especially when many travelled far to get to it 🥰

💫 This day was about movement, mobility and the theme ‘Snowdrops,.”
We started with 2 morning classes. The first using the overball as a tactile and visual tool, helping us to move more freely, breathe better and feel more connected in our bodies. In the second class we added the weights into our movements to build on strength and challenge the exercises.. albeit still moving mindfully!

💫 We then had the most delicious lunch catered by the truly wonderful Tania at @catering_by_truly_scrumptious

💫 After lunch we moved into a stretch and release class, with our belly’s definitely full and then sat down with tea and cake!! with my favourite tea from @mother_cuppatea 🙏🏻 before finishing the day with a Yoga Nidra class…..complete relaxation (Thankyou @wearbam for the snuggly socks) Deep rest, nervous system reset, and a genuine switch off before heading home.

💫 On these retreat days, what matters most to me is sharing my love of movement and honestly… spoiling people.

It’s now 24 hours.
We are talking about 14000 babies. Aid needs to go in to Gaza immediately or these babies will die ..... BABIES! please don’t look away, their bones are sticking out, they have stopped crying because they have no energy. They don’t deserve this. The long term effects mentally and physically are too much. Please don’t lose empathy or feeling, this is not ok and it’s not normal have some human decency!

The news channels will not repeat the true figures, but the Lancet (respected medical journal) reported that inz June 2024 the death toll was 180,00 plus but realistically higher.

We're nearly a year on from then and despite a 'ceasefire' the intensity of the b0mbs has increased that children's bodies are being torn apart.

I'm not going to share it, but I'm sure we've all seen the images of bodies being flung in the air due to the intensity of the U.S made b0mbs dropped by Israhell on our brothers and sisters, our children.

SPEAK UP!

Children being butchered should be EVERYONE'S red line.

Kita hidup di zaman paling canggih sepanjang sejarah manusia—manakala roket bisa menembus langit, tapi bantuan kemanusiaan tak bisa menembus batas. Dunia yang katanya modern, katanya terhubung, tapi seolah terputus ketika suara-suara anak Palestina tenggelam di balik deru algoritma.

Hari ini, sudah lebih dari 15.000 an. Dan angka itu naik seperti nilai saham perusahaan perang, sementara harga nyawa anak-anak turun jadi statistik yang nyaman disematkan dalam laporan. Dulu kita bertanya, “Bagaimana Holocaust bisa terjadi?” atau “Mengapa Rwanda dibiarkan?”—dan kini kita sedang menyiapkan babak baru sejarah untuk generasi mendatang bertanya hal serupa: Bagaimana kita bisa membiarkan ini terjadi… lagi?

Tapi tenang saja. Dunia punya prioritas. Di satu sisi, kita bisa marah berjemaah karena seorang selebritas ganti gaya rambut, tapi di sisi lain, kita terlalu “sibuk” untuk menekan tombol share saat melihat bocah-bocah kurus kering yang kelaparan karena bantuan tak bisa masuk. Kita lebih sigap meng-cancel influencer karena salah sebut kota, ketimbang pemimpin dunia yang terang-terangan membiarkan genosida disiarkan secara langsung.

Jangan khawatir. Kita punya hashtags. Dan kita akan tetap merasa sudah “berbuat sesuatu” sambil menyeruput kopi di sela scroll TikTok. Tapi Palestina tidak butuh empati setengah matang. Mereka butuh kita, sekarang, sepenuhnya. Dengan suara, aksi, dan ketegasan yang tak bisa dinegosiasi. Karena jika kemanusiaan adalah produk, maka saat ini dunia sedang kekurangan stok—dan entah kenapa, tak ada yang mau produksi lagi.

Jangan berhenti bicara tentang Palestina. Bukan karena berita tentang mereka tersebar luas, tapi karena nurani kita yang seharusnya tidak pernah berhenti berdetak ❤

This weekend I hosted my Autumn retreat days and although I’m now shattered … I LOVED it!!!❤️
I ALWAYS love a theme and the theme for this ‘Autumn’ retreat was ‘Change’, a theme made even more poignant because of recent events 🥹
I feel so humbled that many travelled from far afield to attend this special day with me.
It was wonderful to actually meet everyone and to share my love of moving and generally getting to know everyone. 🥰

I put my heart and soul into these days .. I’m a one man band when it comes to preparing and delivering my retreats so it was fabulous to thoroughly spoil these wonderful people🥰
I hope that they all went away with a sense of accomplishment, full bellies and happy hearts .. ❤️
