Eighteen years🥹♥️

I was only 17 when I had you. I was still growing up myself, still figuring out who I was & what I wanted from this life.

But I knew I wanted you.
I knew you were meant to be here.

And looking back now, I realize I wasn’t the only one doing the raising!

In so many ways, we raised each other.

Being your mama has made me grow, heal, work harder, love deeper, & become a better woman. So much of who I am today exists because loving you gave me a reason to keep becoming.

And now… look at you, babe🥹

Hilarious. Spicy. Tender. Powerful. Beautiful. With a heart bigger than you let most people see.

As you step into adulthood, I hope you remember:

You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You get to change your mind.
You get to fuck up.
You get to begin again.
You get to be scared AND brave.
You get to take up space.
You get to love wildly without abandoning yourself.
And you still get to need your mom♥️

I hope you fall completely in love with your own life.

And when you forget how powerful you are, come find me.

I’ll remind you.

Happy 18th birthday to the girl who changed my entire life.

What a fucking gift it has been to be your mama.

Go live. Go love. Go laugh. Go discover. Go become.

I am so damn proud of you.

Always,
Mom♥️

This is my why.

It hasn’t always looked this peaceful, this connected, this full of love.

We’ve had to unlearn, relearn, repair, and recommit again and again.
We’ve navigated divorce, blending families, parenting five incredible (and wildly different) souls, and healing our own inner children along the way.

We’ve had the hard conversations.
We’ve chosen truth over comfort.
We’ve stayed when it felt easier to run.
And we’ve built something sacred: a family rooted in love, respect, and conscious connection.

This is the heart of the work I do helping women, couples, and families build relationships that reflect their deepest values… not just in theory, but in real, everyday life.

If you’re feeling disconnected from your partner, your kids, or even yourself I want you to know:
You’re not broken.
It’s never too late.
And you don’t have to do it alone.

Today, I found love in the void.

I experienced pure calmness in the darkness during a session at InnerSpace with the sound lounge. Normally, I would have chosen something to uplift my energy, but today, honoring the seasons within, I opted for a relaxation and down-regulation session centered on love.

I’ll admit, I felt a bit nervous as I’m energetically sensitive and uncertain about what to expect. However, I focused on my breath to calm my nervous system. During the session, I found myself releasing any false identities of self. I witnessed past lives where I turned to alcohol to numb pain and moments of when i was a baby in this life where fear of death consumed me. I embraced and understood these parts with love.

At the session’s end, a significant moment occurred when thoughts of my oldest daughter surfaced. I recalled a time recently when I failed to show up for her emotionally, asking her not to complain while rushing to get her to school.

After the session, I drew the “Freedom” card. It felt incredibly aligned and significant. (pictured above)

Reflecting on this experience, I realized the valuable lesson it taught me: the importance of taking space for ourselves, pushing past fear, and healing to embody our highest selves.

Following this realization, I approached my daughter, apologized for my previous behavior, and owned the impact of my actions on her. I explained why I hadn’t shown up for her emotionally and offered her the love she needed in that moment.

What did you do to be there for yourself today?

More on motherhood..

Yesterday, my family and I gathered for a heartfelt discussion because my 15-year-old daughter and I often find ourselves at odds. It’s a pattern that I fear I’ve inadvertently passed on to her – the tendency to feel attacked and to react defensively. When I ask her to do something, she interprets it as criticism, sparking a cycle of conflict that can escalate quickly. Regrettably, I’ve found myself resorting to hurtful words like “dumbass” out of frustration, perpetuating the negativity. But I’m actively working on breaking this cycle not just through open communication, but also by practicing empathy, active listening, and seeking outside help. I’ve apologized for my disrespectful behavior and emphasized the importance of mutual respect.

This journey of self-improvement has led me to recognize that my sense of responsibility for everything – from household chores to my children’s well-being – is rooted in beliefs about how to be loved and worthy of love. Balancing my own passions, self-care, and family responsibilities feels like an ongoing struggle, especially when compared to my husband, who seems to effortlessly prioritize his well-being and respects others. Anyone else?

Reflecting on my own upbringing, I see echoes of these struggles in my mother, who battled her own demons. Her unexpected suicide shattered my perception of her strength. Despite her inner turmoil, she fiercely protected us and lashed out at anyone who challenged her. Determined to break free from this cycle, I acknowledge that I still stumble along the way.

To all the mothers grappling with similar challenges, I want you to know that you’re not alone. I empathize with your struggles, and I urge you to confront these deep-rooted beliefs. It’s a daunting journey, but by practicing various approaches and seeking support, we can cultivate healthier, happier lives for ourselves and our families.

Did you know I had a kid at age 17?

Hey beautiful souls, Embarking on this journey, I feel a calling to share the depths of my soul with you.💗

See, growing up, I missed the class on parenting. No manual, no wise words passed down. Just me, a teenager, figuring it out. Parenting without a compass, you feel me?

Feeling the pull to share the unfiltered depth of my life, especially as a mother at 17. My daughter, my savior, became the catalyst for a journey filled with illusions of forever. In my teenage innocence, I thought having her would secure love and commitment, yet reality had different plans. Three months after having her, I ended the relationship for the betterment of my child, seeking a brighter future.

Amidst the tender naivety, I clung to the belief that our love would be eternal, and we’d overcome any challenge. Little did I know, the journey of love, parenting, and self-discovery had twists I couldn’t fathom. This also added its struggles around being a young mother, and the feeling of not being good enough ran deep in motherhood.

My daughter, though, she became my compass in the chaos. In her eyes, I found purpose. Yet, it wasn’t all sunshine; struggles came knocking, echoing the void I carried from my own upbringing.

The fight for love and understanding, both for my child and myself, set the stage for a transformational journey. Amidst the messiness, my daughter, unknowingly, shed light on the patterns that haunted my past. This made those patterns more apparent, and I could see myself more clearly in the struggles around being a young mother; the feeling of not being good enough ran deep in motherhood.

Parenting at 17 wasn’t a choice I’d make lightly, but it was a path that unraveled my deepest layers.

Stay tuned for more of my story 💗

Happy Independence Day to you and your family! May you all stay safe and treasure every moment with your loved ones. During this trip, coinciding with the full moon, it seemed like everyone’s personal challenges were surfacing, urging us to reflect on what we wished to change within ourselves. Let’s remember to be kind to ourselves and those we care about, as we navigate through these experiences. With each growth in awareness, let’s strive to be more self-aware, practice self-love, and avoid blaming or excessively critiquing others. Together, we can continually improve and support one another.💜☀️🇺🇸
