On Friday evening, I was warmly welcomed to the PV showing of the HASTINGS OPEN exhibition @hastings_museum & art gallery. Simply put, there is so much to see! With such I wide but considered ensemble of works, it’s an honour to be part of the amazingly presented show at the landmark location. It’s open now and until 31st Jan 2027 so plenty of time to drop by. I have spent hours in the museum itself and it’s all totally free to enter!
.
I’m also over the moon to finally be showing in the same exhibition as the very talented & considered Tony Delany. I will definitely be back to snap more photos & inspiration because as usual, I spent most of the night jabbering!
.
Thank you @blackshed @hastings_museum @g_wizz_wheeler for the photo

Married 20 years today! 🎉🎉🎉
As this is a china anniversary, I commissioned @emmascuttart to put her ‘fuck off’ design on a porcelain mug for @pete.sadler - what better present?!? 😂
He is delighted with it, although he may not look it because he is a grumpy old misanthrope - but he is MY grumpy old misanthrope and I love him immensely! ❤️❤️❤️

@emmascuttart painted this illustration a few years ago, from the photo of her as Lady Diana Spencer at a polo match in the summer of 1981, wearing her famous black sheep jumper created by @warmandwonderful Happy Birthday Diana ♥️

Family holidays ended when my dad died in 1979. His Ford Cortina took us to amazing castles, little steam railways, beautiful coastlines, rugged landscapes, abandoned mines and sheep-filled fields lined by dry stone walls.

Why did I leave it 47 years to return to wonderful North Wales?

Enchanting, majestic, unique Venice. Watching a 2013 documentary about the fears of a declining residential city population (at that time 58,000 and now about 48,000) made us feel we were part of the over tourism problem. A thousand shops selling Venitian masks and tiny murano glass trinkets shows a city which no longer caters for a working population. No wonder with 120,000 fewer people calling Venice home compared to the 1950s.

Not sure what the answer is to stop a city of exquisite architecture, art and culture that rose impossibly from the watery islands a millenia ago from becoming a theme park. We stayed four nights in an apartment owned by a dentist living nearby whose grandparents once owned the building. At least it was a less damaging visit than dropping in for a few hours from a massive cruise ship polluting the clear waters of the lagoon.

🇺🇸 “On World AIDS Day I’m posting this photo of my beloved Uncle Peter and his partner Alan, who died within months of each other in 1995, aged 39. I’m also posting photographs from the National AIDS Memorial Grove in San Francisco, a beautiful and peaceful park my husband and I visited two years ago. Sending love to all those who have lost family & friends. Their memories live on in us ❤️” 📖 by Emma Scutt @emmascuttart #WorldAIDSDay #whatisrememberedlives

Shenanigans in Pevensey for a child of the 70s. Thank you @emmascuttart for the 3000+ minutes of flared trousered sitcom fun (you may regret it 😉).
We're still resisting English Heritage membership but it's clearly only a matter of time!👴👵
Thank you Facebook chums for your kind birthday messages🎂 ❤️ xx

A fascinating tour of the beautiful Tillingham vineyard and winery, set in a farm established in the 13th century within the rolling Sussex weald.
