Skin is more than the surface we see.

It is a living, intelligent interface – shaped by every season, every sensation, every experience.

The future of skincare isn’t about deciding what skin should be. It’s about understanding what it already is.

In Skin, poet @emmasidnam explores the quiet conversations happening beneath the surface – revealing the intelligence, complexity and connection that exists within us all.

One table light and somehow her face still came through. Aperture wide open.

Good luck in the US. I'll figure out how to visit you eventually.

Emma, thank you so much for making the trip back to Christchurch after our connection in Wellington 🌿🫶

Before leaving New Zealand for a new chapter, it felt really special to reconnect with you again.

Creating this fern piece together — flowing naturally with your body as if it had always belonged there — was such a beautiful process.
Thank you for sharing your stories, your writing, and your beautiful energy with me 🤍
.
.
Meeting people who deeply connect with the artistic language of my work always feels like something beyond tattooing alone.

Already looking forward to the day your words and my drawings meet again someday📝🖌️
Sending lots of love for your new journey to America🫶

LORE UPDATE // August Week 4

Ok I just spent a solid two hours formatting this so I hope you appreciate my newfound hobby of amateur content creation......

The last week of August was unexpectedly busy but in the sense where your friendships are so rich & beautiful & you find yourself frequently basking in a vibe.

@aries__xxo & I went on a little Wednesday expedition to the beach & up the mountain (somehow I’ve never been right to the top of Mt Vic in my entire five years of living here in Pōneke & I was ENAMOURED by the view ~ & it just HAPPENED to be sunset too! Divine timing). Then on Friday we had a spontaneous tarot sesh & I’ve had a few people read my tarot before but this was the first time I really FELT those spirits in the room with us...... saw them speaking through a pendulum...... heard them in my body...... anyway yeah it was an Experience thank you Pink & thank you to my guardians.

Other social engagements included a goodbye dinner for my Platonic Husband Maxfield who is going back to France this week & I’m sure the French will treat him well but I will miss his incomparably excellent massages :(

Also caught up with @youcef.d.kadri upon his return from Europe & gave him a much-needed Lore Update...... only slightly more diabolical than the one I am giving you now…… not as diabolical as those hard iced teas at Loosies though 🤪

So to summarise the August Aura: I love my friends & this Winter was a warm one x
