Good news, bad news:

Good news— the Adult Book Fair fighting for our right to read was a dream! @beyondthecovershtx crushed it! I ran into so many of my favorite people in the world and my social cup is so full. I got to see my bookstagram besties @lattelibrarie, @humans_are_weird, @betweenthecoversw_laura 💖

I spent time eating the best tacos with my Brazos coworkers out in the wild and not just at the bookstore, and so many book club friends from Love Letters represented!

Finally, the best part of my good news is many of my former students who are now grown adults came out to support me and fight against banning books— guess I did something right? 😂😅

Okay, here is the bad news:

I got so into the moment of all the great vendors, indie authors, story times, raffles, and more, I was a bad “bookstagramer” and didn’t get a ton of content. But here is the thing— if anything this is your glowing recommendation to come out next year and to follow/ attend more events hosted by @beyondthecovershtx and @socialbeergardenhtx because baby, I lived in this night and had such a great time! The people— new friends and old, vendors and authors— made it for me!

💕Shoutout Sunday💕 is back!

We are one month and a day away from Fall Apart’s release and let me tell you… I’ve been feeling 😵‍💫🤪 with everything on my list to do with writing, marketing, admin, my day job, and just LIFE!

So taking a break today to shoutout some of my amazing supporters that remind me why I do this and give me the energy to keep going! Yes, book 3 is in the works!

Congrats to those celebrating milestones, joining bookstagram, getting their first ARCs, opening book mail, and doing it all while life is throwing a million things at you. 🫶 YOU ALL ROCK!
