I am approaching 2.5 years of consistent yoga practice (@dedica dedicated). Since then my body, mindset and life have changed for the better. I never thought I would be able to do any of this and I can’t wait for what the future holds.🐢♥️🏝- side note practicing on a boat is a whole new challenge and my calves can feel it 😅

Last weekend I have completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training, and put together this little video, so I could remember and share some clips of this special time 🌀

Decided to take this course not to become a teacher, but to learn more about yoga and myself- couldn’t be more grateful that I’ve made that decision. The past three weeks have been challenging, but the people made it a great experience ❣️

Special thanks to @yogdipika @muditayog @dariyas and @littleworldofyoga @sarrahmonessa for sharing their knowledge and kindness, for letting us feel safe and taken care of🙏🏻 (and for some great playlists)

Also shout out to @mbiernaczyk, @ali.ashtanga and @monika_yoga_loft for making me love yoga in the first place aaaand for always using sanskrit in class!! 😜

Another thanks to my parents for supporting me and making this little dream come true..

And to @emmatmuncaster for just being there, she’s great I love her😋

20 dias.

A chegar a casa.

Holi, or the Festival of Colors, has deep religious and cultural significance in the Hindu culture as it marks the turning of the season and the victory of good over evil.
Here at @houseofom.bali we celebrated the innate goodness of shared humanity with a lot of dance, music, laughter, shouts and all sort of shenanigans 😂 and of course so many colors in which we dissolved our small self to celebrate the big Self. Oh, and of course there was amazing, yummy indian feast to follow at the end of the party.
Holi Festival 2025, that's how we roll!

Tuck drill ~ This was the most effective tuck drill for me when learning the position. I had posted a video of it previously that I would send students to but it seems to now be only a photo and the video no longer plays.

Start with your hands about 8-12 inches from the wall. (This will depend on mobility and starting strength but that seems to be a good starting point. You can walk your hand a litter further (easier) or closer (harder) if you need to.

From there you’ll press up and out of your shoulders as much as possible a while starting to slide the tops of the feet down the wall. It’s important to remember that your tailbone is also tucking in to posterior tilt as the feet and knees draw down.

The depth will depend on strength and mobility and each time you press up at the top it’s important to try to find even more extension through the shoulders which you will then try to hold for the next tuck. You may feel a lot of pressure in your head and shoulders this is to be expected and it will get easier over time.

If the first two I kept my feet on the wall on the second two i floated then off to balance (harder). Either one is fine and maybe try both so you can understand how the hips will draw forward at the top without the wall. Good luck and happy training!!! Feel free to comment with questions or if this was helpful for you.
