Galerie Derouillon is delighted to invite Bonny Poon for a curatorial project in its Haut Marais space. SOS, the original cry for help, stands not for words but numbers in a language of flashing lights. Paranoia—today’s drug of choice—like a head rush, a virus, a stale and predictable sequence—a death sentence. 110 years of Dada. SOS is an exhibition and a party that scrutinizes twin states of paranoia and solidarity. The party is a Dada Ball, organized in collaboration with Anna Dotigny (@annadotigny), held on October 22 at Le Rexy.

[UPCOMING] Like a punch to the guts → Curated by Anya Harrison Opening October 16th - 5 to 8p.m Galerie Derouillon, Étienne Marcel With the participation of: Désirée Nakouzi De Monte & Andrea Parenti of Collezione Nancy Delroi, Keunmin Lee, Shahryar Nashat, Steve Reinke, James Richards, Sibylle Ruppert, Diane Severin Nguyen. A heavy thud. A sharp sting. A flash of bright light. The momentary blindness that surely follows. Delivered hard enough, a simple punch can fully shut down the body, arriving soon enough at a permanent final destination. If a deep, rippling shockwave is enough to disrupt the normal functioning of an organism, could the same be said of these works? The anxiety-riddled materiality of an image, with all its synthetic fleshiness interrupted by the occasional glitch, contaminates its surroundings. Provoking a radiating pain in bodies without borders, a haptic seeing that weighs down on the nervous system’s pressure points, it frees form and images from the constrictions and stranglehold of meaning. [UPCOMING] Emmanuel Béguinot → Always Again Opening September 3rd, 5 to 8p.m For his first solo exhibition at Galerie Derouillon, Emmanuel Béguinot presents a body of portraits that confronts us with an anxious intimacy, with violence and troubled passions usually kept in the shadows of appearances. The title of the exhibition, “Always Again”, operates as a mantra: an adverbial stammer endlessly repeating the cathartic act of drawing. Galerie Derouillon wishes you a wonderful summer! We'll be kicking off the fall with Emmanuel Beguinot's first solo exhibition in Galerie Derouillon's main space, with a new body of work. The exhibition will be accompanied by a text by Cy Lecerf Maulpoix. Emmanuel Beguinot (born in 1989 in France; lives and works in Milan) approaches his practice as an exercise that is both introspective and cathartic, in which the act of painting becomes the stage for a truth that is difficult to contain. Working on paper with an intuitive, mixed-media approach, he then entrusts his frames—turned inside out or constructed from wax—with the task of completing the work. [LAST DAYS] Vojtěch Kovařík in conversation with Aristide Maillol and Henri Rousseau → Soulscape ‘’Across the gallery walls, a mythology of a new kind unfolds. The artist Vojtěch Kovařík (born in 1993) takes over the space with a new pictorial cycle, to which he has chosen to add a marble sculpture, a medium rarely seen in his practice. Whether painted or sculpted, the figures appear—through the massiveness of their bodies, their nudity, and the innuendo embedded in their titles—as a gallery of heroes and gods abandoned to their fate. Visitors will notice that the artist’s sculpture is not the only surprise here. Indeed, the artist’s works are joined by two major figures from the history of art at the turn of the twentieth century: Aristide Maillol (1861–1944) and Henri Rousseau, known as “Le Douanier Rousseau” (1844–1910). [Hors-les-Murs] Shuo Hao → Villa Tbh, Shanghai July 11th - August 9th, 2026 From July 11 to August 9, 2026, Villa Tbh will present “Be my mirror, my sword and shield”, the culminating exhibition of Shuo Hao’s project developed during the tbh Artist Residency Program. The exhibition takes its title from a lyric in Viva la Vida, one of the artist’s favorite songs: “be my mirror, my sword and shield.” In Shuo Hao’s artistic universe, the figure of Medusa is ultimately forged into a shield, while the compass in Nüwa’s hand functions as a sword. Facing one another, the two figures become mirrors for each other. The convergence of mirror, sword, and shield symbolizes a female alliance across Eastern and Western mythologies and cultures.
