I feel so cruel as a mother. I sent them to kindergarten even though when they left, everything was calm and the street was full of children going to kindergarten and schools. Suddenly, things changed and the situation got worse again. I quickly called the kindergarten and they told me that my children arrived safely.
Why should our children live in such a terrifying environment? After countless attempts to convince them, we told them everything was fine and they could go to kindergarten. We're only fooling ourselves before we're fooling our children. Our homes aren't safe, and no place is safe... but to die with your children is every Gazan's choice.
