over & out 🇭🇷, we <3 @thebucketlust !

Ten years ago, in 2016 I said “why not?!” and moved to Croatia without knowing a single person, barely understanding what I was getting myself into, or realizing that one impulsive decision would completely change the course of my life 🗺️

I thought I was signing up for 1 summer! lol IYKYK Instead, 5+ full seasons later I found a community, a family, and a version of myself I hadn’t even met yet!💕

Croatia was my first taste of a life that would eventually take me all over the world 🌎⛵️ From charters in the Caribbean, Europe, French Polynesia and places I never imagined I’d get to call “work,” this corner of the Adriatic was where it all began. 🇭🇷

It taught me to step outside my comfort zone, say YES, work my ass off 😂 & figure things out as I went. More than anything, it taught me how to become independent, adventurous and confident enough to show up somewhere knowing no one, then leave with friendships that would follow me around the 🌎 a decade later!

A LOT can change in 10 years. I grew in so many ways, I moved back to New York, gave LA a spin, even moved to Florida, built new chapters and collected so many incredible people & adventures along the way 👯‍♀️
The past few weeks diving back into it in greece and cro with A few OG best friends, old friends I hadn’t seen in YEARS, new friends, reunions, fun dinghy meetings, dancing, walking down the dock in palmi seeing so many familiar faces and so many moments of, “HOW has it already been 10 years?!”

Of course, this post needed Roses 💿 because IYKYK summer 2016 was basically Roses and Peanut Butter Jelly by Galantis on repeat😂🪩

it has always been about the people. The community. The chaos. The adventure. The friendships. And the 26-year-old girl who took a chance on herself without having a clue where it would lead ✈️

I’m really proud of her!! 🤍

Here’s to the places that change us, the people who become family, and saying YES to the adventure (at any age) even when you have absolutely no idea what comes next! SO HAPPY I DID🇭🇷🥂⛵️✨🥰
