"There has to be passion in your rooms, and sentiment, things that mean something." Learn from the best, @gustthepoodle, and tour her Hudson Valley home. Witty, unfussy, a little wild, and entirely her own. Step inside and see for yourself!

What a night to remember. Twenty years in, and the Gala in the Gardens still found a way to outdo itself. 🥂

Thank you to our generous Gala sponsors, @jones_walkerllp and ServisFirst Bank, for helping us celebrate this milestone in such beautiful style.

And our deepest gratitude to our Gala Chairs, @paigejacoby and @cat_smitty, whose vision, hard work and impeccable taste brought every candlelit corner of the evening to life. Every ticket, toast and twirl on the dance floor supports the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens and the work that keeps this place thriving for generations to come. Here’s to 20 years at the Gardens, and to many more.

Sunday family dinners were always a meaningful tradition for our bride, so we wanted to bring a little bit of that feeling into her wedding day.

The long table with its sunken floral meadow was the anchor of the reception, while cozy lounge seating helped make a larger guest count feel a little more like everyone had gathered at home for Sunday dinner 🫶🏼

Hand-painted, and utterly unforgettable.

Thank you to our Design Sponsor, @graciestudio, whose wallpaper transformed the Gardens, from the stage to the outdoor bar, for our 20th Anniversary show. Blossoming branches climbed the walls, graceful cranes and songbirds took flight, and serene painted landscapes framed every vignette. Each panel, painted by hand with extraordinary patience and skill, brought a sense of quiet wonder to the Gardens.

Every wall was a work of art, and we will be thinking about them for a very long time.

Every detail, considered.

From the moment you step through the garden entrance by @zjwstudios, Antiques at the Gardens feels like another world. Our Design Sponsor, @graciestudio, brought their hand-painted wallpaper to nearly every corner of the show, from the stage to the outdoor bar and beyond. And everywhere you look, you’ll find the work of so many teams of incredible talent who brought their artistry to the Gardens for our 20th year.

We’re open through Sunday, October 4. Come see it in person.

We are honored to share that Anderson Studio of Architecture and Design has been named to the 2026 @forbes lists of America’s Top 200 Residential Architects and America’s Best-in-State Residential Architects.

For this year’s consideration, we submitted Mullet Point, a Kiawah Island residence composed as a series of distinct volumes, carefully unbundled and threaded between centuries-old live oaks. The project reflects a deliberate balance of structure, landscape, and light, allowing the house not to compete with its surroundings, but to belong fully within them.

We are deeply grateful to our clients, our studio, and the collaborators whose trust, dedication, and talents made Mullet Point possible.

Visit the link in our bio to view the Forbes lists and learn more about the selection methodology.

we cheated a little bit and had 2 kids before our wedding, though 🤣

the on-screen text is also referring to my hair color

no one else I’d rather be enduring this huge life change (mid-life crisis) with. Man, we really do be doing the most.
