Dear Ladybug Softball,

I have been struggling to write this because no words can describe the feeling of stepping on the field one last time with teammates that I’ve grown up with. I’m forever thankful to have played with this group of girls, and because of you guys, I have found my love for the game again, which makes this goodbye hurt so much more. These past 4 years have taught me so much about myself. Through all the hardships, doubts, and even moments of praise have shaped me into the player and person I am today, and because of that, I’m forever grateful. More importantly, I’m glad that over these years I have been able to find my identity in God alone rather than in a yellow ball. By giving all the glory to Him, I have gotten the opportunity to play on the biggest stage, creating a memory I will NEVER forget. Not everyone gets to experience something like that, and I’ll never take for granted that I got to experience it with my teammates by my side. People may forget the wins and losses, but they’ll never forget the season where history was made. And I’m so proud that I got to be a part of it.
Thank you to all the coaches and teammates who have made this year worthwhile!! Thank you for the memories, the lessons, the laughs, and for giving me a season I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life! You guys will always have a special place in my heart!!💗
Although it’s not the end of my book, it’s an important chapter of my life coming to a close. I know I’ll carry a piece of Ladybug softball with me wherever life takes me, and no matter where I go, I’ll always be proud to say I was a Ladybug! 💛🖤
