The final bow for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. 💛🌈

This wasn’t a typical CYT production. Instead, it brought together alumni, parents, directors, teachers, and community members…one cast member even found the audition on Google!

When Clara the kids and I moved to Tennessee 11 years ago, we left behind our entire theater community, along with years of history and relationships we had built in Southern California. If I’m honest, we thought that chapter of our lives was over.

Then, three years later, we found CYT… and the rest is history.

This production reminded me just how much God has restored and multiplied what we thought we had lost. Looking across this cast and creative team, I saw more than a show, I saw a community. People from every walk of life came together, jumped in with both feet, and created something truly special.

Thank you to this incredible cast and team for your talent, your commitment, your joy, and your hearts. This was, without question, one of my favorite productions of Joseph, and one of the best CCT shows I’ve ever had the privilege to be part of.

To God be the glory. ❤️

PHONE STORAGE FULL DELETE TO MAKE ROOM — an absolute blessing to have a maxed out camera roll 🥹

I mean it really was about time I did a photo drop and cleared out duplicate photos from my storage but my goodness why is that such a daunting task!? Hahah anyone with me!?

Also, picking songs for photos will always be a favorite of mine it brings me back to putting songs on your MySpace / Xanga

lil update as i’ve been living in nashville for almost 9 months now!

my life is almost entirely different than it was a year ago. if you’ve followed me you know mental health was a deep problem for a few years. i was struggling for almost 2 years with su*cidal ideation/thoughts. deeply struggling with my relationship with Christ all the while in seminary. doing “the right things” and heavily in community/local church.

moving to nashville, many people were scared that i wouldn’t be ok. especially living on my own. but it turns out, the Lord had other plans and removed that thorn from my side almost immediately. a few hard days but still better than most average days in that old season. i deeply miss a handful of people during that season of my life.

but now i am living so much happier. i work full time at a coffee shop, i still resell clothes on the side, and have been pursuing writing as well. substack has been growing and my consistency with it has been fun. learning how to balance a job with a desire to write.

i have my first boyfriend which is fun & exciting & i talk all things BF on my substack.

my church is fantastic. the gospel culture has deeply healed many areas of my heart. friendships have come easily and i’m so thankful for His grace in that area of my life.

things aren’t perfect. there are external stressors that i carry daily but praying through them & allowing the Lord to sanctify me in the process! learning how to continually build rhythms that draw me closer to Christ and truly receiving (& living through) His grace. His grace is what leads me to repentance and i desire that daily.

i praise the Lord for this season and the beauty of feeling happy. because for a long time that wasn’t the case. but i also praise the Lord for His faithfulness in that season where i was able to learn how to rely on Him in specific ways. and growing me in a way that is empathetic and compassionate towards others walking through that season.

He truly is good in all seasons and i’m thankful for His provision.
