This might’ve been one of my most difficult plunges.
This practice was a rollercoaster. I was excited on the way to the river, and when we got there, I had a lot of different feelings arise.

I was dreading the painful hug of the cold.
I couldn’t get out of my own head, so I began to spiral.
I was overwhelmed with feelings of guilt, anger, shame, dread, and overall confusion for why I was swinging to the opposite side of my emotions beforehand.
I was angry, and STUCK where my feet wouldn’t move.
I cried.

And then, I remembered how blessed I am to have such a kind, loving, supportive partner.
With my red-hot face buried in my hands, my love came over and pulled me out.
He took a moment to let me feel, and then we linked our breath. He SAW me. He HEARD me. He SUPPORTED me, and most of all, he believed in me, and reminded me of my ‘why’.

He reminded me that THIS is part of the practice.

And so, my hand in his (already freezing cold and wet) hand, he led me into the water, where he knew my downward would turn back up.

He never let me lose my breath. He never let me lose my control. He never let me lose my purpose.

How blessed I am to have such a supportive person like him, truly my harmony.

After ward we screamed it out and laughed and giggled and danced together, remembering why we do it.
The pain was, as always, worth it.

FEEL IT. EMBRACE IT. ALLOW IT. EXPRESS IT.
And then,
REALEASE IT.

Thank you, my love🤍🌞

Todays bath was a fun one with the crew down at the river!!

Wooooo! It was COLD out there!

❄️Are you interested in doing ice baths with me, and learning more about the benefits of this therapy?❄️
Starting next weekend I will be doing group river plunges at Fayette Station on the New River. Meet at 10 am on Sunday mornings to get in on the fun! We will start and end the practice with Breathwork and intentional movements. Bring a friend and get out of your comfort zone!
LETS PLAYYYY!!!!🥶🤍

Just fucking do it anyway.

We planned this last night: to start our day together in the ice bath…. and as soon as my alarm went off I was like NOPE. Not happening.
No hesitation, E went downstairs and was in the tank before I was even outside.. of course I HAD to do it then.

Sometimes making yourself do the ‘hard work’ or things you aren’t comfortable with is the only push you need to keep the ball rolling in the right direction. That small decision to get out of my comfort zone and ‘fucking do it anyway’ changed my ENTIRE mood and energy for the day. (Ice baths are kinda like energy baptism🤩)

The best things in life are on the other side of your comfort zone.
So just fucking do the thing even if you feel sluggish towards it. It could change your WHOLE life.

It could change your WHOLE LIFE.
