Free lunch included. @burnaboygram is building clinics and roads. Who can build a school in Makoko?

Makoko. You can’t unsee it. So beautiful at a distance, so much energy and culture in every street but so heart-breaking close up. An eco-system like no other. Editing @klebert.b #makoko #africanstories #Lagos

I had the chance to visit the community of Makoko and tour the area with Respect, the chief’s son. He gave me a firsthand account of the challenges his community is facing, including the destruction being caused by the government. Nigeria’s Makoko, Africa’s largest floating village, has seen thousands of people displaced between December and February as Lagos authorities demolish homes and evict families. Many people have been left homeless and without support. If you would like to help support the community, please DM me for more information. #Makoko #HumanRights #Africa #RaiseAwareness #Nonprofit
