Feeling eternally grateful for the opportunity to attend the media preview of @qagoma latest exhibition, “Make Believe Magic: The Worlds of the Jim Henson Company “ ✨

A lot of Henson’s work was the backdrop to my formative years, I can remember being 5 years old and recovering from eye surgery just wanting to watch Elmo in Grouchland despite not being able to see, but having it play as background noise and knowing exactly what was happening. Watching A Muppet Christmas Carol every Christmas, and now doing it for my kids. My brother being born and thinking I’ll need to find him in a Goblin Kings Labyrinth, or wondering if we had Fraggles living in my dad’s workshed.

Needless to say, childhood me was in her absolute element seeing favs like Kermit, the Goblin King, the Sesame Street gang and those cheeky Fraggles and adorable Doozers all in one place 🥹 and yes I cried.

Still absolutely terrified of the Skeksis, but we survived. 😂

There’s something pretty magical about getting to see the things you grew up loving through adult eyes — and, obviously, I had to bring my camera along for the ride 📸

The exhibit is a must see not only for all the puppetry and nostalgia, but the artworks, sketches and sets are incredible to see in person for the amount of work that goes into a production.

Thank you again @qagoma for what was really a once in a lifetime opportunity 😭

I genuinely didn’t know where to look first….💚 🌈 70 years of imagination, characters, creatures and the kind of storytelling that somehow makes you feel five years old again.

✨ Make, Believe, Magic: The Worlds of The Jim Henson Company is now open exclusively at @qagoma in Brisbane!!! an incredible journey through the creative world of The Jim Henson Company, from The Muppets and Sesame Street to Fraggle Rock, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth and beyond.

Seeing these characters up close and discovering the artistry, puppetry and sheer amount of imagination behind them was something else entirely. And yes, there were several moments where I completely lost my composure. 😂

The exhibition takes over GOMA’s ground floor and runs 12 September 2026 – 18 April 2027. If you grew up with any part of Jim Henson’s world, put this one on your list.

Thank you @qagoma for having me. ✨🐸💚 @hensoncompany

Achievement unlocked - First time playing league! (Lorcana in a competitive playing environment) ✨

A big thank you to @empirestylesback_ @thegabrielreed @vegas_jacks_mum for giving us the spur on to give league a try! After having spent the last few years collecting - it was a completely different experience giving the game a go in full. We had a lot of fun & caught up with other Lorcana friends too (@lexy.everafter @samsworldau) ✨

We took quite a few losses - but we learnt a lot & we are keen to try again! ✨ It's definitely added a new dimension to the @disneylorcana addiction 🥰✨

Is there something new that you'd like to give a try this year? ✨ X

Swipe to see our prizes thanks to the team from @megagamespenrith ✨
