POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Two days off posting. Two days off building. Two days of being 100% present with Erin in London.

The last few months have been intense. And when you’re both building, so much of the time you spend together ends up being side by side on phones and laptops rather than actually being present with each other. That’s not quality time. That’s proximity without connection.

Erin, my family, and our future family are who I’m building all of this for. But it’s easy to get so consumed by the pursuit of building a life for them that you forget to actually show up for them in the process.

As a man I want to provide. Financial security. Physical safety. Emotional support. Mental growth. And soulful connection. All five matter equally. And I don’t want to be so locked into building time and financial freedom that I neglect showing up fully for the person I’m doing it all for.

The last few days were equally as important as the months of being locked in that came before them.

Now back up the road to see the family as they return from the World Cup. Two weeks at home, back working and building while spending time with my nearest and dearest.

And when I get back to Qatar it’s heads down. Saying no to everything that doesn’t move us closer to the goal. The next major lock in period starts then and I’m ready for it.

That’s the balance. 🤝❤️

Week 9. The honest update.

This week I’m breaking the usual format because this week deserves its own conversation.

Last month Erin and I started our IVF journey. This is something I want to be completely open about because it’s a real and important part of our story right now. The reason we’re doing IVF is because Erin has a low egg count. Statistically it’s going to be a challenge for us to conceive naturally. We’re not ready to start a family right this moment.

We are incredibly focused on this phase of building our businesses, creating freedom, and taking complete control of our time for the rest of our lives. We want to create the environment we actually want to raise a family in, one where we are always present, where we have one hundred percent control of our time, and where we bring a family into a life we have built on our own terms.

But the longer we wait the harder it becomes. So we’re doing what we can now to give ourselves the best chance later. Last month we had a failed cycle. That’s not easy to write. It’s not easy to navigate. And it’s not cheap. Every cycle is a significant financial hit that doesn’t exactly align with trying to save everything we can as we build towards going all in on our businesses.

But that’s just something we have to navigate to the best of our abilities as team.

I am incredibly proud of Erin. She has handled an incredibly difficult and complicated situation with strength, positivity, and grace. She has been an absolute superstar throughout all of it. And I’m proud of how we’ve navigated it together.

Here’s what this experience has reinforced for me. The universe tests you before it promotes you. Challenges and hurdles will always come. That’s not bad luck. That’s the process. What gets you through them is clarity. A vision so clear that when everything gets hard you know exactly why you’re doing it.

And a why so deep that it holds you when nothing else does. That clarity is everything. We’re good. We’re strong. We’re moving forward 🙏

Erin got me a cake.

My default response when she suggested celebrating? “It’s nothing. On to the next.”

She reminded me that’s wrong.
And she’s right.

We can get so locked into the destination that we forget to enjoy the journey. So focused on what’s next that we don’t stop for what’s now.

But here’s the thing.
The journey is the point.

The highs. The lows. The small wins. The setbacks. The moments in between. That’s what life is made of. Not the destination.

If you can’t stop and celebrate when you hit a goal, no matter how big or how small, what are you actually doing it for?

Time moves fast enough as it is.

Don’t be the person who gets to the end and realises they didn’t enjoy how they got there.

Set the goal. Do the work. Hit it.

Then take a moment. Eat the cake.
Get back to work tomorrow.
