✨ STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: EVELYN ✨ We’re shining a bright spotlight on our OG dancer Evelyn who has been part of the Empowered Movement family since 2023! 🥹🔥 In this spotlight, Ev shares a little about her journey with Empowered Movement and what being part of this community means to her. Ev’s personal journey within dance is a beautiful reminder that no matter where life takes you, dance will always be waiting for you when you’re ready to return. From dancer to mother to dancing at EM with her daughter Sariyah - what a full circle 💫 Evelyn brings joy, laughter, flavour, bold energy and the warmest of hearts to the EM fam. She consistently shows up with so much love and care for each and every one of us (and not to mention great food🤣 we all love Ev’s cooking!!) Imagine taking a dance class with your Mum/Child and looking this good dancing together 🥹💗 Ev & Sariyah are our OG Mum and Daughter duo who have been killing it both in class and on stage together with us for years. It goes without saying that these are memories that will last a lifetime but even for us, watching them get to experience this is beautiful to watch. You are both AMAZING. READY 4 D’ROAD 2026… THAT’S A WRAP! 🥹🔥 Honestly… where do we even start?! 🥹 THANK YOU. To every single person who came yesterday. Your energy, kindness, care for eachother and us, love and support from start to finish made the event so incredible and we cannot thank you enough. This was our BIGGEST AND BEST Ready 4 D’Road yet… you lot really said “we came to catch a VIBE.” 😅😮‍💨🔥 A massive thank you @jazminnatanya for providing us with the best music for all of our classes & the social jam after the event. @stepwithasmara for a fun step class! Celebrating half a decade of EM ❤️ Empowered Movement & Friends is a high-energy, feel-good dance show celebrating 5 years of Empowered Movement. A night of powerful performances from EM and an incredible line-up of our creative friends as we reflect on the past, celebrate the present and welcome the future and all of the greatness it will hold ✨ We are so incredibly proud to be reaching this milestone in February. EM was founded during lockdown 2021 - starting with dance challenges to spread joy and reduce isolation and has since grown into a thriving community with weekly classes across London, brand partnerships, a professional performance company. Most importantly however, over the past 5 years thousands of people have danced with us with Empowered Movement at the heart of everything we have done — quite literally🥹🤭 Recognising so many have played a huge part in our journey so far - we’re also so excited to share the creative greatness of our friends in the industry.
