I had a lot of people message me and comment asking how I got started live wedding painting at such a young age.

I had seen wedding painting online a couple of times, and I always thought it was interesting, but I never really saw it as a career, maybe just something fun to do. I was actually planning on becoming an architect because I was always told that you could never make a career out of painting.

When my cousin said he was getting married, I immediately jumped on the idea to try it out. I was nervous that I would be bad at it or that nobody would care about what I was doing at the wedding, but I still decided to try anyway. Thanks to that risk I took as a 17 year old, it led me to the success I have today!

Everyone who’s asked me how to start has gotten the same advice from me: literally just do it, especially if you have a family member getting married. It makes it a lot less scary because at least you’re surrounded by people who hopefully won’t judge you. If you keep waiting for the right time, you’ll never start.

I have very fine hair, and she knew exactly how to work with it to create the full, elegant style I wanted. She really listened to what I wanted and made sure every detail was perfect.
On my wedding day, Sydney and her second stylist were incredible. Not only did they make my hair look absolutely beautiful, but they also styled all of my bridesmaids, both of our moms and our flower girl.
