Living with endometriosis can be incredibly isolating, even as the online community continues to grow.

It’s isolating not just because of the pain, fatigue, and all the other symptoms that come with it, but because it can be so hard to explain what you’re going through to the people around you. Sometimes that’s because you don’t even fully understand what’s happening yourself. For so many women, it takes years to receive a diagnosis.
Most friends want to support you, they just don’t always know how.

But sometimes the most powerful thing someone can offer isn’t advice or solutions. It’s simply showing up with understanding, patience, and compassion.
If you’re reading this and you have a friend with endometriosis, your support matters more than you probably realise.

And if you’re living with endometriosis, you deserve people in your life who listen, believe you, and stand beside you on the hard days too. 💛

Share this with someone who might want to support you better but doesn’t quite know how.

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month🎗️

For 10 years I searched for answers to try and explain away the debilitating pain that often kept me from doing the things that I loved. I wanted my old life back, the one that didn’t involve hospital bracelets, blood draws, and Zofran.

Countless appointments, dismissive doctors, tests that were “normal” and a several hours long surgery later, I found my answers in a disease that has no cure & shows no mercy

If I could, I’d go back to the version of me that felt crazy for trusting that her own body was in immeasurable pain & give her a hug, & I’d tell her the surgeon said everything was obliterated. The organs stuck to the muscles, the scar tissue to the nerves, freezing everything together. That none of the people who doubted, undermined or compared away her pain were ever right.

But more importantly I’d tell her about the most incredibly, strong, fierce, and beautiful warriors that I have gotten to meet along the way, that are in the same fight, understand the same pain, and grieve the same lives that got flipped upside down.

To all the endo girls out there who understand what it’s like, I see you. In the struggle, the quiet holding it together, and the acting like everything is fine when you actually are dying inside.

You are strong & don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise 🎗️💛💪

Endometriosis is too often dismissed as “just cramps”, “heavy period flow only”, or wrongly diagnosed as PCOS/PCOD.

But this is not just a bad period.

For many women, it means debilitating pelvic pain, heavy bleeding with blood clots, ovarian cysts, surgeries, fertility challenges, chronic fatigue, and years of being unheard.

Pain that disrupts your education, career, relationships, or daily functioning is not normal.
Being told to “tolerate it” is not care.

This National Endometriosis Day, we stand with every woman living with endometriosis and its pain.

We believe you.
We see you.
And we will continue to raise our voices until the world around us understands too.

Did you know March is Endometriosis Awareness Month? 💛🎗️

Take a moment to read a bit about some Endometriosis facts, and meet some Endometriosis advocates you can follow. 🙌

We shared some symptoms of Endometriosis, but because Endometriosis can be found anywhere in the body, the list of symptoms is even more extensive than this.

ENDOMETRIOSIS IS SO MUCH MORE THAN A “BAD PERIOD” DISEASE.

It’s also important to note that Endometriosis can be found in trans and intersex people, and in cis-men.

Today, we honor everyone living with Endometriosis. It isn’t for the weak, and you deserve to be recognized for the strength it takes day to day. 💛

I was 16 when the pain started.
I was 26 when someone finally believed me.
It took 10 years to be diagnosed with endometriosis.

And somewhere in between, I was told I was too young, too healthy, and “in my reproductive prime” to have anything wrong.

November 2023 – May 2025 were the hardest, most isolating, confusing, painful months of my life.

In high school, I brought up endometriosis to my OB after late night Google searches. I was told, “No way. You’re too young. You couldn’t have that.”

For years, birth control masked the pain. When I got off of it, everything came flooding back worse than ever. That’s when the real fight for answers began.
Countless doctor appointments.
ER visits.
Naturopaths.
Weekly acupuncture.
Sound wave therapy twice a week.
Massages.
Anti-inflammatory diet.
Stopped drinking for a year.

I did everything “right.”

Still no answers.
In 2022, I was diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome. But deep down, I knew there was more.

In 2024, I finally found a doctor who said, “Your pain isn’t normal. I think you might have endometriosis.”

I felt relief. After nearly a decade of dismissal, someone believed me.

In April 2024, I was rushed into emergency surgery. That’s when they found endometriosis and an endometrioma completely attached to my right ovary.

I was told my cyst was removed and my ovary was saved.

But I was still in unbearable pain.

Two weeks later, I found out the cyst hadn’t been removed because it couldn’t be separated from my ovary without removing it. Instead of addressing it fully, pregnancy was pushed on me. I was also told to consider the Depo shot, which would have put my body into medically induced menopause at 26 years old.

Pregnancy.
Menopause.
But not removal of the disease.

I lived in that pain for another year.

In May 2025, I had surgery to remove my right ovary and fallopian tube. When I woke up, I was told my tube had been saved.

Six months later, I learned it hadn’t been.

This is what navigating endometriosis can look like. Confusing. Exhausting. Traumatizing. A constant fight to be heard inside your own body.
