Every TikiTops Umbrella Kit starts as a steel spine and eight solid ribs. Give it a coat of @endureedthatch engineered thatch and it becomes the reason nobody wants to leave your backyard.

Same structure. Whole new mood.

Most people think this is a traditional palm-thatched roof… but it’s actually synthetic. 🌴

When you’re building on a remote island like Mounu in Tonga, every material has to stand up to intense sun, salt air, humidity, and tropical storms. We wanted the timeless look of natural thatch without the constant maintenance and replacement.

That’s why we partnered with @endureedthatch to roof these beachfront fales. Their synthetic thatch gives us the authentic island aesthetic while providing the durability needed for a place that’s meant to be enjoyed for years to come.

Watching these fales come back to life has been one of our favorite parts of this project, and the roof completely transforms the feel of the island.

Huge thanks to @endureedthatch for helping make this vision a reality. We can’t wait to show you the finished spaces.

Would you have guessed this wasn’t real thatch?

Creating an inviting outdoor living space can be a game-changer for your home. Here are some practical tips to help you make the most of your patio or backyard:

1. Plan for Comfort: Consider adding ceiling fans to your covered patio to keep the air fresh and cool during warm days.

2. Maximize Functionality: Install a barbecue grill and a countertop area for outdoor cooking and dining. This setup encourages family gatherings and friendly get-togethers.

3. Maintain a Cozy Atmosphere: Use decorative elements like bowls or plants to add a personal touch and make the space feel more welcoming.

4. Consider Privacy: A wooden fence can create a sense of enclosure and keep your space private and serene.

5. Plan for Shade and Shelter: A covered patio protects you from the sun and rain, extending the usability of your outdoor space throughout the year.

By investing in these features, you can transform your backyard into a favorite spot for relaxation and entertainment. Remember to choose elements that fit both your lifestyle and your budget, making the outdoors comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. Stay patient and enjoy the process of creating your perfect outdoor retreat!
