What I have prepared to share for my 10min of stage time feels like the most fun and powerful glimpse into my color work I could possibly share.

And if you had the LUCK 🍀 to be at @energetic.intelligence 40th birthday in Brooklyn circa 2023, you’ve done a version of what will be shared!
💖🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

If you’ve ever found awe and inspiration in my unique relationship with color…

OR have never heard of me but at facinated by the interwoven intersection of COLOR and METAPHYSICS…

Come participate in a 3 min experiment you’ll be talking about in 3 years. @rocky__duval can testify! 😉

Several talented artists of the spoken word, visual arts, and creative multipreneurs will be present (and attracted like 🧲s) to this event. So there’s BOUND to be something for everyone.

*please note that the flagship speaking event of Debra Nordyke’s poetry includes powerful and difficult material about childhood sexual violence, rape, and attempted suicide.

I remain powerfully moved by how Debbie’s work alchemizes such pain and difficulty into beauty and resilience. Please know this is on the agenda and plan your presence appropriately.

When things get turbulent, I have a choice to make. I can bail out, or I can stay committed. As eclipse season nears let’s take a page from Chuck Yeager’s book and hold tight until we break through. Thank you always to my friend and colleague @energetic.intelligence (Kacey Cardin) who introduced me to this story. Happy eclipse, babes. You’ve got this.

I’ve never posted a photo with my top off, and it’s rare I’ll even post a photo of my face. I’m posting this because if it helps even one person who’s struggling, then it’s worth it.

I walked into the ER two months ago and was told I was a dead man walking. All five of my coronary arteries were completely blocked. When I asked the cardiologist how I was still alive, he said my heart had somehow created new pathways to keep receiving blood, and by God’s grace. He couldn’t explain why I hadn’t died in my sleep, at the gym, or wrestling with Morrison.

I underwent a quintuple bypass in open heart surgery. They split my chest open, put me on life support, took arteries from my chest and leg, and grafted them onto my heart so it could receive blood again.

Needless to say, it FUCKED me up.

But here I am, two months later, jogging and lifting light weights.

What nobody really prepares you for isn’t just the physical recovery. It’s what happens in your mind afterwards. The fear. The gratitude. The guilt. The strange feeling of being given more time and wondering what you’re supposed to do with it.

If you’re struggling with anything right now, I just want you to know this:

Never give up.

And never believe you’re walking through it alone.

Had the most beautiful & magical day at @southalltn
From the new bee pollen foot massage at the spa, to soaking in the mineral pool, to a grounding Bee Still meditation beside the hives with Jay Williams, every detail invited us to relax & reconnect.
We closed the evening with my favorite experience at Southall — a curated @drinksouthbound tequila and honey pairing dinner alongside Chef Richard, myself, and Honey Sommelier Jay Williams. Incredible food, beautiful conversation, and such a unique way to experience both 100% blue agave and honey together.

What a day!! 🤍🐝🥃

“Every human has a unique and mystical relationship to the wild world.” — Bill Plotkin. We think he’s onto something. ✨🌱

Because the work of becoming fully human isn’t done in isolation. It happens in the slow remembering that we were never separate from this earth to begin with. That our breath is borrowed from trees. 🌳That our bodies are made of the same stardust as the mountains we climb and the rivers we wade into. 🏞️

So much of the world will tell you that knowing your worth is the finish line. We don’t think it is. WE THINK IT’S THE STARTING POINT. ✨ Because to know you matter is to realize that everyone and everything else does too. And that changes how you move through the world.🌍

To be connected is to be responsible. We won’t tell you what your responsibility is. That’s yours to discover. But we’ll remind you that you have one.🌿

Today, on Earth Day, we remember: we are magic. And so is everything around us. 🌱🌎✨

The Osa Penninsula in Costa Rica is one of the most bio-diverse places on the planet. I just spent a week at @lunalodgecostarica with the most beautiful group of humans in this very special and unique place. Lana Wedmore, the woman who owns and operates this eco-friendly lodge, created the @whitehawkfoundation to preserve the rainforest by buying acres currently for sale for development so they can instead be protected forever. Visit whitehawkfoundation.org to learn more! 🦜✨☀️🌸🦎🐒🐗🐍🐆🦂🕷️🌎
