Welcome to Hell. This Hell is based on a short story by Jorge Luis Borges from your world called "The Library of Babel." Here you will find all the books that can possibly be written.

When you are ready to leave, find the book describing your earthly life story (without errors, in spelling, grammar, etc.) & submit the story through the slot below this sign. If the story is accepted, you will be admitted into a glorious heaven filled with wonders & joys beyond your imagination.

During your stay you may be interested in reading a book on Zoroastrianism. By special arrangement, there is one on every floor. The other books are randomized.

The food kiosk will provide whatever you would like to eat. Just ask for it. We would ask that you please follow a few simple rules during your stay in Hell:

1. Please be kind, treat others as you would like to be treated. Failure to do this will bring unhappiness & misery to you & your fellow citizens.

2. Do not get discouraged. Remember nothing lasts forever, someday this will be a distant memory.

3. Please leave towels on the floor if you wish them to be cleaned. Hang those up you wish to use again.

4. Books not in your possession will be returned to their original place on the stacks every night. A book will be considered in your possession if you are touching it.

5. If you are killed you will be restored to life on the following day. Please try to avoid death as much as possible.

6. All contracts, bonds, commitments, covenants, pledges & promises entered into prior to your en- tering Hell are null & void. This includes, but is not limited to: debt, marriage, natural births & adoptions, requirements of citizenship, military obligations, student loans etc

7. Remember you are never really alone. Although it may feel like it for very long stretches of time.

8. Please don't write on, mark, or mar library ma- terials. Although repairs are made nightly, we would like to keep repairs to a minimum.

9. Lastly, you are here to learn something. Don't try to figure out what it is, this can be frustrating & unproductive.

I still imagine you just left
Somewhere else
Just living

And even though we feel regret
We are not forgiven

I'll take you everywhere
I forget I'm living
It's cold out here
What a rush it's giving

I got your name
Carved on my body
I'll celebrate
While you mourn me

I've been so low
I've been so alone

But now I'm here

There’s a quiet kind of comfort in knowing someone is fully there with you. Not distracted. Not half-looking. Fully present.

This is when trust becomes something you actually feel 💙

I am bottled fizzy water
And you are shaking me up
You are a fingernail running down
The chalkboard I thought I left in third grade
Now my only consolation
Is that this could not last forever
Even though you're singing and thinking
How well you've got it made

Call it women's intuition
But I think I'm on to something here
Temporaryism has been the Black Plague
And the Jesus of our age
I know that I sound opinionated
Maybe biased and quite possibly jaded
But sooner than later they'll be throwing
Quarters at you on stage

Who are you?
When will you be through
Yeah, it's just a phase
It will be over soon
Yeah, it's just a
Phase, and I'm waiting for it to be over, too

Happy faces, salty skin, full hearts...
On every cruise we see people arrive as strangers, not really knowing what to expect. And then, a few days later, we see the smiles and we remember that we live the Freediver's Dream 💙
