🏁 AKC PUCKA 🇦🇺 From 10 seconds off the pace in Practice 1 to just 1 seconds from the leader in the Final on a bended frame — what a weekend of learning and progress. This was my first ever Australian Kart Championship round and only my 4th time at this track, so we knew it would be a big challenge. We started Practice 1 at the back of the 35-kart field, around 10 seconds off the leader, but by qualifying we had made a huge step forward and secured P28. Then Heat 1 changed everything. A crash put me right at the rear of the grid and made the rest of the weekend even tougher. With the weather constantly changing, the crash, and Dad looking after two drivers, we didn’t get many chances to make setup changes or properly test improvements. We just had to keep pushing, learning and making the most of every session. Despite all of that, I finished the Final in P27, with my pace improving to just 1 seconds off the leader. We came into our first AKC with no expectations — just to learn, gain experience and see where we were at. To close by the Final with a bended chassis makes me really proud of the progress we made. A lot learnt, plenty more to improve, and we’re only getting started. Thanks to @kartingaust and @easternlionskartclub for hosting the event, @janda_karttuning for rocket engine, @paceimages.au for the great shot and my sponsor @engpro_engineering On to the next one! 🏁 #australiankartchampionship #cadet9 #akc #racing
