Thank you for giving young girls the chance to dream beyond societal constraints and old ideologies.

The project is still ongoing, and we need YOUR help to do more.

Currently, women make up only 22% of the STEM field. We are on a mission to change that narrative.

So far, we have distributed 60+ copies of the book, and we hope to return soon to engage the girls further in reading and to inspire them to start creating change.

Your GPA is one number from one season of your life. Don’t let it determine your career path.

The biggest misconception is that you need amazing grades your whole life to have a strong career. In fact many people get jobs through networking, GitHub, social media, or creating a viral project.

Send this to someone who thinks their GPA is their ceiling.

Meet Chelsea 🩵 (@chels_williamsx)

Chelsea is a Mechanical Engineer working in construction 👷🏽‍♀️ She got into STEM because of her sister, who is deaf with two cochlear implants. Chelsea loved going to her audiology appointments and was fascinated by the technology behind the implants 🦻🏽🥺

“To me, being Pretty Smart means knowing that you don’t have to choose between being yourself and being intelligent.” 🌟

Her advice to younger girls? Go for it, don’t let what you think someone in STEM is supposed to look like put you off 🎀

Meet Ola 👷🏾‍♀️💕 (@mechanically.ola)

Ola is a Mechanical Engineer working in nuclear who got into engineering by “following what she actually enjoyed” - physics, maths and design technology ⚙️🌟 and she’s done so much since, from studying abroad to working in tech to giving a TEDx talk! 🎤

“Being ‘pretty smart’ isn’t a contradiction, it’s the whole point. Smart doesn’t have a look.”

Her advice to younger girls? Find your people, find a mentor, and don’t wait until you feel ready 🫶
