My Personal Tips to Avoid Swelling During Lip Blushing 💋✨

If you struggle with swelling during lip blush procedures, here are my proven tips to help keep it under control:

1️⃣ Avoid pre-numbing & use less secondary numbing
Pre-numbing creates a harder surface, leading to more trauma. I use a moderate amount of secondary numbing for a smoother experience after I do sketch fixation.

2️⃣ Use short-stroke machines
Machines with short, soft strokes deliver less intense hits to the skin, minimizing irritation and swelling. I love to use Diamond from @defenderrofficial for lip blushing.

3️⃣ Avoid needles 0.25 and less diameter
Thinner needles cause more skin trauma, they go more deep and actually implant less pigment (makes the procedure time much longer=more trauma) Opt for 0.30 diameter for a gentler pigment implantation. My recent love for lip blush is 0.33 1RL Nano from @microbeauofficial

4️⃣ Lower machine speed
High speeds cause more trauma. Keep your speed low for better pigment saturation and minimal swelling. I prefer 4.5-5.5. But remember - the speed is very individual and depends on your hand speed. Check my reel how to pick the right speed for your hand. 👇

5️⃣ Apply organic coconut oil
After each pass I apply a small amount of organic coconut oil, this soothes and calms the skin naturally.

6️⃣ Avoid extra skin stretching
Excessive stretching makes surface thinner so the needle goes deeper. Which gives extra trauma and more swelling.

And of course the model plays crucial role, the skin reaction to the treatment, to the cleanser and wiping!

Thank you to my gorgeous client @enia.nor for giving an absolutely amazing canvas for my art 🫶❤️

Trust me, these small adjustments make a BIG difference in your results!
