I sat down with the one and only @djsteel on the @siriusxmtheheat podcast. I specialize in training and am so honored to be a teacher. Trusting the process is a major part of your growth. I would say the proof is in the pudding. I started training dancers 26 years ago and still to this day I too am a student. Thanks for having me Steel 🙏🏽💯✊🏽

Still grateful for this moment. Thank you, @theprofessor. Had to pay tribute to the signed 2006 Mountain Dew AND1 jersey through dance.
I respect the basketball culture that inspired me, and I'm adding my own visual art to it."🙏🏀🕺

Have you felt soft, but still hold barbed wire?

Do you speak your truth, only to dominate and quiet others?

Are you addicted to revolt, unable to accept other people’s peace?

Are you anchoring in your reality in full trust that you can experience all that you want, need and desire?

You’re not alone, and yet its rare that we walk into a new space where we feel that we can be seen, heard and valued.

This summer is growing into one of surrender in many ways.

Join me as I move through Europe and the US sharing and creating spaces to play and explore, through dance and food, the intimate and subtle nature of humanity.

Not for performance, perfection or even pleasure.

The common thread is the path of surrender, to love so deeply that even discarding or destroying all the “hard work”and “right answers” was needed to keep moving forward in deeper embodiment of truth.

I’ll be sharing more ways to connect, in person and online,
but as always, here’s a first taste 🤤

On Friday I not only danced💃🏻 all night long but I was also surrounded by really special people who mean so much to me

Some of them have been there from the very first time I stepped foot at a party here in nyc🪩🗽 and later met others along the way who also welcomed me with open arms

I know I’ve said this before but I wouldn’t be the dancer I’m today if it wasn’t for the dance community. This scene brought so much joy back to my dancing and I really mean it because if I didn’t keep pushing myself out of my comfort zone when I first found it I would be so lost right now

And yes I know it’s so crazy to say that I was forcing myself before to even get in a cypher 😂 but for someone like me who grew up as a studio dancer with barely any knowledge about Street & Club Styles it was really intimidating at first to even attempt to try and feel free in my style when I didn’t have one

I never imagined I would find dance families like the ones I’m a part of right now ( this also includes @danewbreed_dance ) and I’m so grateful for them

Thank you everyone for making my birthday this year so special ❤️🌶️✨🎂
