Fête du thé Bruxelles

Last week in Brussels, I had the pleasure of sharing tea once again with Sanmao, Liping, Thomas, and Sabine from @lesfeuillesvertes

We spent the day drinking various teas and taking our time through each sip. We tried a selection of Pu'er teas, including sheng from Bulang and Nannuo Mountains, each revealing its own character and complexity as the infusions unfolded. We also shared an exceptional 2026 Kui Hong red tea that I’m still thinking about.🤤

A special mention goes to the steam atomizer, which was used with tea inside to bring out the tea’s flavours and aromas.

There is something very special about drinking tea with people whose incredible knowledge is matched by such generosity and sensitivity. Sanmao and Liping’s expertise is incomparable, but what I value most in these moments is how naturally they bring you back to the tea itself: its incredible pristine natural environment and the craftsmanship that goes into making it.

Once again, it felt like an opportunity to reconnect with the essence of Chinese tea: its complexity, its depth, its authenticity, and the simple pleasure of giving it the time and attention it deserves.

A beautiful day spent drinking, learning, and sharing. This is TEA to me.
