Coming against the spirit of hoarding videos 😭. Still deciding whether I’ll leave this here for long😂. Anyhoo, I saw @jbums do this with her friends and I decided to try same with mine😂. Needless to say, I feel very blessed and refreshed to have such people… both friends and family as my immediate association. Pray first, ask later😂💕.

Nothing really beats the feeling of having people who can always stand in prayer with you and for you🥹💕.

To my family and friends, Thank you! I do not take any of you for granted one bit. And I love you all so much 🥹💕.

I remember the first time I asked my Mother what my Igbo name meant.

She said Ekenemchukwu means “We thank God.”💕

I laughed and said, “You’ve thanked God collectively enough for me already. Why didn’t you just name me Kenechukwu so it would simply mean Thank God?” 😂

I didn’t think the version they picked for me was quite as classy.

My mum smiled and said something I’ll never forget: “You don’t understand how powerful a name is over a person’s life.”

Many years later, I finally do.

I’ve looked at my life and realised that it really is a communal testimony. A life that has made not just me, but everyone who has loved me, stood by me, and shared in my journey say, “We thank God.”

Every birthday, I pause to look back, and every single time, I’m in awe of how faithfully God has written my story. The road ahead isn’t fully clear, but it’s infinitely clearer than it was a year ago. For that, my heart is full.

Daddy, Ekenemchukwu is back to say thank You. 💕✨

My 25th birthday was nothing short of amazing. I had the most beautiful day of my life, surrounded by love and the most intentional friends. We had a 10/10 night — they went all out to surprise me and make my day unforgettable. I still can’t wrap my head around it, but I’m letting myself relive and enjoy each moment slowly.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about something I saw… how a woman was sharing how she didn’t enjoy her birthday one year because life was heavy at the time. She felt there was nothing to celebrate. But months later, when God turned things around, she looked back and regretted not embracing that moment.

It hit me. Life may not look exactly how I want it to right now. I’m not where I thought I’d be, and so much has happened, some of it painful, some of it unexpected. But even in the midst of it all, I have so much to be grateful for.

So today, I’m choosing gratitude. I’m choosing joy in the now, not just in the next. Because every year is a gift. Every breath is grace. And this new year of my life? I’m welcoming it with an open heart.
