This Wednesday as part of our ‘After Eight’ social @renae.mcr we have a special dance workshop with the one and only @dy_blue.xx .

Dy will be taking you through some Afro foundations and grooves from the African diaspora . Dy Blue, is an Angolan-Portuguese dancer and creative entrepreneur based in the UK. She began dancing at six between Portugal and Angola, developing an early connection to Afro-diasporic movement, culture and identity.

Specializing in Afro House, Kuduro, Ndombolo, Coupé-Décalé, Azonto and Naija Fusion, Dy Blue blends these styles with influences from Street Dance and Hip Hop. Her movement is defined by versatility, musicality and a strong connection to her cultural roots.

Over the years, he has built an international career at the intersection of dance, identity and entrepreneurship, using movement as a vehicle for cultural expression and connection. Her work reflects the evolving nature of African and diasporic dance, while bridging traditional influences with contemporary street culture.

Dy Blue’s artistic approach is rooted in authenticity, adaptability and the belief that dance can transcend borders, bringing together different cultures, generations and communities through movement.
