• A little personal update… so many of you have been with us from the start. You’re a part of our story!

On my 40th birthday, James and I surprised our nearest and dearest whilst having lunch, that we were eloping that day! And they were all coming! We zipped back to the hotel, got changed, and met everyone at @thecourthouseregistry

My dad walked me down the tiny aisle, there were jokes, laughs, tears and candles. We chose Reishi for our lunch and our ceremony.

James and I are the ones who have been making your candles from day one, and we can’t wait to continue to do so as husband and wife!

Huge thank you to everyone for coming along for the ride, and for the incredible people who hustled to make it all happen! Oh and sorry, Mum, we didn’t let you in on the secret. Did I mention we decided to do this 4 weeks prior? Ha! •

This painting, I thought was maybe done from the first brown and blue areas, super fun practice of like when is it done? September and new work and weekends with no plans. Quiet at the studio and loud at home. Painting to music and drawing to audiobooks, the different parts of my attention required. Lots of attention required by growing things. Sun moving and new window decal shadows cast. Ty’s become an expert boxing and shipping agent, Suki an expert napper and currently I’m an expert at forgetting words mid sentence.

Hello, Finally posting to the grid after a self imposed, fear-based hiatus.

By Nye has been running, mostly in the background, thanks to the nicest and most patient customers in town. I’ve accepted (almost) that communicating about work and the things I create is probably (definitely) a good business strategy.

I will, most definitely, still farm you all for knowledge because it seems I have cultivated a community of people who really do know a lot about most things. I still intend to share many more auction house roundups because that is one of life’s great joys (second only to watching real housewives whilst perfecting my soffritto dice.) Ok, I’ve digressed. Is postpartum ADHD a thing?

Anyway, all of this is to say, I may (will) start posting more consistently and hopefully mostly about jewellery, because I’ve been falling back in love with so many pieces and have been designing new things, including an engagement and fine jewellery series that I’m excited to release into the world soon.
