Full bass, no more rattling downstairs, and Sarab can run the system at full power! Enjoy ✌️

Solution : Custom isolation platforms for the Funktion-One stacks at @enter.sarab BR218 double-18" subs with Res 2 tops, about 145 kg per stack.

The problem was structure-borne vibration. The subs were driving the floor slab directly, the existing gym mats had no effect for this kind of weight and low frequency, and the F&B tenant downstairs had glasses rattling on their shelves.

The fix is a spring-mass system: each stack sits on a 36 mm laminated ply deck, decoupled from the floor by four closed-cell silicone pads custom sized for the load.
That puts the natural frequency around 9 Hz, well below the subs' 35 Hz bottom end, for a calculated reduction of over 20 dB in vibration reaching the floor.

People are dancing because of the music that I’m playing, releasing all the bullshit they had to inevitably soak up throughout the week and recharging their batteries for whatever the week ahead throws at them. It’s an incredible feeling, getting to give them that 🥲
