@outskirts.film is rooted in the outer-city experience, adolescence and the world that shaped me in 2007. @daraslall plays Mania, the emotional centre of Outskirts. Bringing an honest, engaging screen presence to the role, Dara leads the film's coming-of-age story as Mania navigates friendship, identity and the pressure of life on the margins. Throughout my self development over these past few years I put the work in specifically within the Casting Director and Filmmaker connection. To where I am today as a Film Director with @outskirts.film Now having my first Casting Director credit, I'm super proud of my cast who will be representing 2007 youth culture in Potters Bar. @daraslall (Mania), @samirmahatt (Elmo), @sgupta_0301 (Packalous), @harleybroomfield (Zed), @jjnacting (Bob), @reecegris (Abe) and @wholtby (Big Al). Who all knew the assignment and the functions of each role. Not just the looks but feelings with my articulate and theatrical language. With thanks to my co-producers @benogunbiyi @toresumecontent @ligaturafilms guiding me through the process. To hear more about casting the a2z and wgm boys watch the FULL @yellowlizardmedia vodcast. Our director @tagharv and @sgupta_0301 who is our homegrown talent and one of three lead actors in @outskirts.film had a side quest this past weekend to meet the Mayor of Hertsmere @mayor.parveenrani to tell her about our 2007 British cult film of Potters Bar. At a joyous occasion, kicking off Diwali celebrations in Borehamwood. Hearing exciting and continued plans for stage & screen in the area from various council members and also hearing from The Mayor of Elstree and Borehamwood @mayortusharkumar @tagharv's favourite part of the celebrations was watching the @nrithamdanceacademy perform. We want to thank @rendamage for being a champion of our film. From early development to this point.

Day 4 in the @outskirts.film shooting schedule was the last day with the whole crew and cast. As we delved deeper into Mania and Elmo’s brotherhood away from the a2z friendship group. The big city feels like a holiday when they both visit for their first time recording studio experience at the iconic Wordplay Studios in Tottenham Hale. Thanks to Millmead Business Centre and @bandicootstudios for allowing us to reimagine the space which once drew artists from both London and Hertfordshire. We brought the circus to town 🎪🎭🎬 In celebration of @favoritechickenofficial 40 year anniversary and one of their longest standing franchisees of 36 years, day 1 of our shooting schedule started at Pop's shop. Aswell as giving you a portrait of the a2z boys, we give hero moments to those that have been long serving the PB community. Like Nemat and local window cleaner Chris for 20 years. .
