El hardcore suele pensarse desde sus expresiones musicales, sus códigos estéticos y sus formas de organización colectiva. Sin embargo, toda escena cultural también está atravesada por relaciones de poder que determinan quiénes pueden participar, qué experiencias adquieren visibilidad y qué cuerpos son reconocidos como legítimos dentro de ella. La presencia de mujeres en el hardcore abre preguntas que exceden la representación: ¿qué significa habitar una escena históricamente masculinizada?, ¿cómo se construye la legitimidad en espacios donde la agresividad, la autonomía y la autenticidad han sido asociadas, en gran medida, a lo masculino? ¿Y qué cambia cuando las mujeres dejan de ocupar un lugar marginal en el relato para convertirse en parte activa de su construcción? Este ensayo propone aproximarse a estas preguntas a través de bandas y músicas que forman parte de la escena. No para establecer una categoría separada dentro del hardcore, sino para reconocer experiencias, trayectorias y formas de participación que también constituyen su historia. Pensar la presencia femenina implica, entonces, ir más allá de la visibilidad. Supone examinar las condiciones de participación, los imaginarios que persisten y las posibilidades de transformación que emergen desde dentro de la propia escena. Time stood still at the midnight hour. Part 1. . Grief is an undeniable and inescapable part of life. In my experience, I can shun it and make it disappear, but eventually it'll creep into my psyche and remind me that things are not what they use to be. There once was a time where the word "was" was an "is" when I spoke of the people, places, and things in my past. . I had my moments at the Cobalt. I had my moments at The White Oak. But, the Midnight Hour was something special. I believe it was special to everyone because it was at the heart and center of the musical underground in San Fernando. Bands were rediscovered there and birthed there. Conversations were had there. Most importantly, as intended with Sergio's vision, community was built. Joy was present and everyone was welcomed.
