Thanks to @hungry.dai_lo for the restaurant recommendation. I went two days consecutively with two groups of people 😂 and went 3 times in the span of 2 weeks 😌
Mamak Mee Goreng (?) 8.5/10 $8.95
Not 100% if it’s the right dish but it was delicious. Savoury with plenty of toppings. The noodles were nice and chewy.
Chicken satay 8.5/10 $6.95 (4 pieces)
Had it twice and it was a miss and then a hit. First time the chicken was kinda hard and not as juicy but I got it again and this time the chicken was tender and juicy. A tad pricy for the portion but it’s a nice appetizer to get! Not sure if it’s consistent but the flavours of the chicken pair well with the sauce. It would be nicer if the cucumber and the onion were cut into smaller pieces which make it easier to eat.
Nasi Goreng - seafood 9/10 $8.95
Rice is excellently seasoned and the combo of toppings work well together. Not too greasy even though it’s fried rice!
Beef rendang $12.95 10/10
Absolutely delicious and such a different unique flavour. A must get at John 3:14!! The beef is incredibly tender and falls apart in your mouth! The curry sauce is buttery and has hints of coconut milk which makes it slightly milky as well.
Hainanese chicken 8/10 $12.95
Not bad, the chicken has an interesting spin to it that I usually don’t get with Chinese style Hainanese chicken. The sauces work well with the chicken and add kick to it. Most of the chicken was juicy but some of the chicken was on the drier side. With all the other amazing dishes, we overlooked this dish.
Curry laksa with mixed noodles (both egg noodle and vermicelli) 7.5/10 $8.95
Personally not the biggest fan, while the flavours worked well I felt that it could have been more concentrated. But I’m personally not a fan of egg noodles or vermicelli.
Went with my friends Maggie and Nathan to hang out ☺️ we went to bread papa -> John 3:14, then sharetea and then they walked me home ❤️
Went with my friend Samantha and Ashley and tried it for the first time 😌 it was nice trying a new restaurant with old friends 💛
Went with the dragonboat fam + Jackie was like if the food wasn’t good then my food blog was shit but it was good so ha! He approved

John Lennon special sundae “imagine” 7/10 $10
It was certainly interesting but I’m not sure how much I enjoyed it. It was quite expensive too at $10 a cup. I’m personally don’t know the Beatles well so I’m judging solely based on flavour however perhaps Beatles fans will enjoy this more knowing the musical meaning and inspiration behind the creation.
The black sesame ice cream was strong which I liked. Didn’t really like the meringue because it was hard and didn’t add much flavour. The granola was nice but got stuck in my teeth plus I’m not sure how well it goes with the overall combo of every ingredient.
They added egg yolk for Yoko Ono but I didn’t really enjoy the egg flavour and it was quite runny.
The grapefruit was refreshing but I’m not sure how I enjoyed the combination with the other flavours. Personally I feel that if you’re going to add so many flavours that they should all work together rather than clash.
Mango milk tea cream puff 8/10
It included mango ice cream, milk tea ice cream in a bun. The mango ice cream was strong and vibrant which I enjoyed. The milk tea was mild and milky which was nice. It really did taste like mango milk tea but I didn’t like how hard the bread was. I think it would have worked better with a lighter bun or had the bread had been hollowed out. Since they overfilled it, it was hard to eat without making a mess. I think it would have been better if they made it into 2 smaller cream puffs. It would have been interesting if they added coconut jelly, grass jelly or pearls to truly make it a bubble tea theme.
Bubblegum Cream puff 7.5/10 $5
It was yummy but nothing memorable. The flavours worked together and I liked the cream.
Went out for @enviouselven birthday!! 21!! Wow so good :’) this is kinda late since his birthdays was June 16

Pearl castle cafe
3 cups chicken 8.5/10
Solid choice even though portions are on the smaller size and it’s more pricy
Chicken is flavoured very nicely and has a strong flavour. Chicken is juicy and tender
Not the best flavour I personally love Maji the best but they’re closing soon :( Apple curry with fried chicken 9/10
It has a really nice mild curry flavour to it but the flavour doesn’t have depth. I would get it again but I wish the flavours were more in depth
Fried chicken nuggets 8/10
Typical chicken nuggets but nothing special and a little over fried so not as juicy as I remember

Honey chrysanthemum tea 9/10
Pretty typical, a little on the sweeter side but has a mild refreshing taste.
Oolong milk tea with pearls 8/10
The milk tea wasn’t great, a little diluted for me and the pearls were not as chewy as I like and didn’t feel super fresh either

Hung out with my friends randomly and doing errands together! Before Erika left for japan :’) and the dragonboat potluck! Shopped for glasses, did brows

Blueberry shaved ice 8.5/10
A bit smaller than the other shaved ice options
Very refreshing blueberry that comes with coconut jelly and cheesecake
Cheesecake is meh kinda on the harder side and not as soft as I like
Refreshing and I would get again if I’m feeling shaved ice and want a smaller portion
Hung out with friends after DZ500!! Thanks @enviouselven for driving us all the way to Richmond :’) #jackfrost #dessert #foodreview #food #blueberry #shavedice #bingsoo #coconutjelly #richmond #friends #icecream #cheesecake #happiness #abowlofhappiness

My friends are dumbasses!!! But I love them :’) so don’t do what Jackie did 😂

Jack Frost tiramisu
9/10

It’s delicious, has a really strong tiramisu flavour but honestly not my favourite
Cake is soft and spongy but I would like more whipped cream
Kinda bitter for shaved ice
The sauce is espresso which is pretty bitter
