[Ignition] 🚀 Hey galactic people, this is Chloé Carriere (@galacticchloe) taking over this account for the week! Be ready for lots of fun memories and real-life moments full of space, sciences and sharing.

But first - who are you Chloe? [📸 photo 1]

➡️ Let’s start from scratch, I was born and raised in the far far away country of France 🇫🇷. After high-school graduation, I decided to study physics at EPFL [📸 photo 2 - yes my hair was red]. Full of hope for a bright and stellar ✨ future [📸 photo 3 - yes now it’s black], I, like most of us, failed my first year. Despite this, I decided to knock on the « space doors » of EPFL to get my hands dirty and experiment what the job of a space engineer was like and I became a summer intern at @epfl_espace [📸 photo 4 - yep, now I’m a blond]. Discovering a passion for science communication and building projects, I joined the astronomy club @callistaepfl and founded two organizations: @epfl_spaceatyourservice [📸 photo 5] and @asclepios_mission [📸 photo 6]. 🤩

➡️ I finished my bachelor and decided to re-orient. As my fellow classmates would say, I went to the dark side of the force: Management of Technologies! Thanks to building all these side projects, I realized this was what I wanted to pursue. During my masters, I also developed myself as a science communicator 👩‍🚀 I was privileged enough to be working with @epflcampus on a new youtube channel called @galacticchloeshow [📸 photo 7,8] that featured personalities on campus.

➡️ Finally, I ended my EPFL path with THE goal. I went to work for the @europeanspaceagency in Rome [📸 photo 9], as an Earth Observation intern 🛰 Long story short - THE goal was not MY dream. I came back to Switzerland transformed and decided that what I really wanted to do was become a full-time entrepreneur and embrace my passion of science communication. But more on that tomorrow…

➡️ I received my diploma just a month ago that now makes me officially an EPFL Alumnae 👩‍🎓 [📸 photo 10]. What a journey, so many changes (not only my hair). I can’t wait to share it more with you in the coming days. Because, believe me, this is only the tip of the iceberg…

EPFL is a famous Swiss university and one of the most prestigious polytechnic universities in Europe with abiturients from 120 countries of the world 🌍
⠀
What do you think of the views?😍
⠀
Today I want to talk about what universities of the present and future should look like. And what can we do to make the campuses of our universities better?

A campus is not just the territory a university occupies. This is a certain format for organizing the educational process, life and leisure of students. Usually it is campus life that underlies the cohesion of a student community and creates a unique atmosphere of any university.
⠀
In general, campus architecture has a very strong impact on learning. Campuses can be different - from historical to futuristic 🚀
⠀
During my travels around schools, I have seen so many great solutions to keep students motivated to learn!
⠀
First, the classes themselves can create a collaborative atmosphere, for example when the desks stand in a semicircle or some other way. Everyone sees each other and it becomes easier to discuss. Teamwork and networking skills will be especially useful for students after graduation in all large and small companies.
⠀
Also, many universities have amazing libraries. In some cases, even with great views on the roofs of buildings! (Want to know where? Send me a private message 😉)
⠀
In general, campus universities can offer more opportunities for study and general development of students. Campuses have a place for sports fields, research centers and labs, theaters, galleries, creative studios, and interest clubs.
⠀
What did you lack in your educational institutions? Share in the comments.

Educational Futurism: what innovative universities of the future will look like🤩
First, they will look different visually. We talked about this in detail yesterday. Scroll through the carousel to find;)

Today we’ll talk about trends that may be waiting for us in the future (but in some places they are already the reality):

✔️Individual training on request

The universities of the future will offer everyone access to real-time learning from anywhere in the world. Their flexible teaching process will be available upon request 24/7 and will be adjusted to what students want to achieve. Students will be able to study in several modes, seamlessly switching between classroom learning, mixed learning or attending completely online, so that students have the opportunity to combine study with work and personal life.

✔️ Combination of degrees and shorter qualifications

Degrees will not be the only qualification that the university will offer to its students. Universities will begin to train specialists within shortened courses as well.

✔️ Career advice

Graduates will consistently succeed in fighting for jobs, as they will receive ongoing support in the field of career management.

✔️A place for collaboration and entrepreneurship

Universities and the industrial sector of the economy will work together on projects to solve real problems. They will become drivers of innovation, and their research will gain practical importance for the successful development of society.
Interestingly, many universities abroad have already introduced the points above. No doubt that these innovations will be implemented in more and more universities of the world.
By the way, there is a photo from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in the carousel
