MADE IT IS BACK. BIGGER. 🟧🟦

New look. Same aim.

Since 2019, MADE IT has championed artists graduating across the North West at one of the most exciting—and uncertain—points in their careers.

It began as a graduate exhibition. But we’ve always wanted it to be more than a moment on a gallery wall.

So we’ve spent time rebuilding it.

MADE IT is becoming a bigger platform for what comes next: bringing together a major exhibition, awards, paid commissions, professional development and meaningful connections with organisations that can help emerging artists keep moving.

A stronger identity.
A growing network of partners.
A bigger stage for the North West’s newest artists.

Still artist-led. Still rooted in the region. Still committed to making sure brilliant new work is seen, supported and taken seriously.

Tomorrow, we reveal where MADE IT 2026 is landing… and open applications for our next cohort.

Ready for everywhere. See you tomorrow.

The beautiful flowers on the tables, the counter and in the bookshop of the Yellow Bittern today were gathered and arranged by @robertgeorgesanders who also did the costume designs for the story ‘The Breaking of Our Fourth Wall’ by @josephrigby__ in the current issue of Luncheon 21. On the opening page above from the story, Gabriel Kidd @ephemricala wears pieces created by @robertgeorgesanders styled by @matthew_josephs movement director @harrypriceprojects hair stylist @moemukai23 make up @sunao__takahashi set design @furmaan.ahmed casting director @juliagilmour08 producer @rowanmackintosh

All the flowers, except the gladioli and scabious, were foraged on the evening of summer solstice…oats, roses, ox eye daisies, hydrangeas, mock orange, catalpas, verbascum, chestnut flowers and yarrow.

Thank you @robertgeorgesanders
And Joseph @josephrigby__ 🌹

"I could do that too!"
The most common phrase in art galleries—and usually, it’s just a defense mechanism. A defense against admitting that you have something to say, but you’re afraid to say it.
An artist doesn’t wait for the perfect moment or someone’s approval. They simply have the audacity to call their "chaos" Art and step into the light.
The difference isn’t in the technique. It’s that while someone is already building their reality, someone else is still waiting for permission to be seen.
What’s stopping you: a lack of ideas or the fear of being misunderstood?
