Nothing extreme, no strict rules — just simple meals, nourishing ingredients, and finding a balance that works for me. ✨

I’m all about making small changes that feel sustainable and good for my body, one meal at a time!

Our first time traveling separately since getting married 2.5 years ago! Come grocery shopping with me to grab some real-food snacks and travel essentials.

Travel days can be exhausting, and crowded airports expose us to lots of different germs. Between disrupted sleep, dehydration, and irregular meals, I like to be extra intentional about taking care of my body while traveling.
Here’s what I’m grabbing for our travel days!

SNACKS
-Organic eggs :Making egg bites or packing boiled eggs for the road. Airport food is expensive, and I want to make sure we get enough protein. I take protein VERY seriously. @organick_pastures
-EPIC beef sticks: Made with grass-fed Wagyu beef, honey, sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. We love a simple, real-food snack with protein! @epicbar

HYDRATION & WELLNESS ESSENTIALS
-Manuka honey packets: contains methylglyoxal (MGO), a compound studied for its antibacterial properties. @naturenates
-Unflavored electrolyte packets: Avoid artificial sweeteners or “natural flavors.” You can also add dried orange slices, lemon slices, dates, or goji berries to your water for extra flavor.
-Aspartame-free gum: An easy option to keep in my bag when I want something to chew on.
-Ginger & turmeric tea bag: made a flu bomb before we leave. It works wonders and prevented me and my husband from getting a cold (Let me know if you want a recipe!!)
-Magnesium glycinate/bisglycinate: support relaxation.
-Herbal sleep support: If you’re considering a sleep supplement, research the ingredients, potential interactions, and whether it’s appropriate for you.
-Zinc:An essential mineral that supports normal immune function.

Maple Bacon Toffee - One of our signature October flavors, this beauty features maple ice cream (sweetened with 100% organic @barredwoodsmaple maple syrup) with loads of house-made bacon toffee pieces— with real bacon from @epicbar. It’s the salty-sweet-savory trio dreams are made of.

Pumpkin Cheesecake - In this new version of our classic Fall flavor, we made the ice cream itself the cheesecake! This flavor is a beautiful combination of local, organic cream cheese from @sierranevadacheese with organic pumpkin puree and house-blended organic pumpkin spices finished off with heaps of @partakefoods graham cracker pieces.

Chocolate Fudge Brownie - For the next two months, we’re taking our house-made brownie pieces (the ones in Mint Brownie) and mixing them into our Classic Chocolate ice cream for this choco-centric flavor. Made with fair-trade cocoa from @equalexchange and eggs from @tasteoffreedomeggs, because y’all deserve the best.

Black Sesame - This is one of our IYKYK flavors. It’s nutty, sweet, and truly unique. Don’t let the grey color fool you: this blend of black sesame paste from @thejapanesepantry and our organic ice cream base, with a hint of @singingdogvanilla, is a truly understated flavor.
