KICKSTARTER LAUNCHING 15 SEPTEMBER! 🦕🔥 Happy #IndieanimationDay! We're excited to announce that Talon and the Champions of Saurithia will be launching the kickstarter for our next episode in a month! We've chosen this date because it marks the historic date of 15 September 1914, when the first animated dinosaur was officially copyrighted. We're excited to launch the next big step for our series, while paying our respects for Gertie the Dinosaur, a pioneering dino animated short film. Join our indie animation journey and help us bring Talon and the gang to life, it'd mean the world to our indie studio!! Support us by saving our kickstarter pre-launch page to be notified as soon as it drops..! Talon and the Champions of Saurithia (TATCOS) is a sci-fi/ fantasy indie animated epic series set in the late Cretaceous period, following Talon, a courageous young Dakotaraptor born with magical elemental powers she at first didn’t understand. Alongside her friend Kota, Talon must find the eight other dinosaur Champions - embarking on a journey that will transform the prehistoric world and save the universe from a dark fate. Haven’t seen our Pilot episode yet? Watch it on our YouTube (link in bio) Thank you to our wonderful team who worked on this! ☀️ #indieanimation #indieanime #dinosauranimation #gertie

Celebrating 75 years of the UCLA Animation Workshop! On October 5th, alumni and family and friends joined faculty and students and staff, for the premiere screening of The Work of the Workshop, followed by festivities on the sound stage and in the workshop itself. Thank you everyone for coming - it was a blast! Thank you to the amazing volunteer group who pulled out all the stops to make this happen! The evening truly exemplified the spirit of The Workshop: Animation has only two limitations - imagination, and exhaustion. • #uclaanimationworkshop #75years #25films #TheWorkOfTheWorkshop #AnimationWorkshop #WilliamShull #DanMcLaughlin #animatedfilm #filmstudent #animatedshorts #UCLAtft #filmschool #onepersononefilm #stopmotionanimation #2Danimation #3Danimation #characteranimation #abstractanimation #animationrules #TFTalumni #UCLAschooloftheaterfilmandtelevision #UCLAftvArchive #UCLAftvdm #FallingLizard #yougottosteptostoptogetit • photo credits: Tyler Comeau Valerie Lettera-Spletzer Celia L.
