A very very late nationals post!! But there was no way I wasn’t going to post (plus I had to acknowledge all the amazing people I met and dances I watched!)

I’ve experienced so much growth this season, not only as a dancer but also as a person! There were many highs and lows, moments of accountability, learning how my actions/emotions/attitudes affected others, and struggling with self-confidence; but I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

This was also the year that I took on the challenge of multiple solos. And if anyone knows me, the anxiety I get before going on stage by myself is insane, but I grew a lot from this opportunity. Getting to show two different sides of myself on stage was so fun. I’m very thankful to Brooke Endres for choreographing two amazing solos!

Along with that I placed at every regionals with my solos (which I haven’t done in 7 years!) and I scored 290+ for both solos multiple times! And you know the crazy high awards that only a few dances receive at each comp, I received that adjudication for both solos (at least once) which I never thought imaginable! But I’m so so thankful for my teammates in advanced senior solos for not only pushing me to be my absolute best but also supporting me through it all!

But regardless of the judges praise and compliments from people from my studio and other studios throughout the season, I’m so grateful that I found my joy and passion for dance this year. I’ve faltered back and forth with it for many years but I can confidently say that I’m so glad I have this gift to dance!

With all that though I just wanted to say thank you Sister act for an amazing year! Also I was so blessed to play an important role in our production (which won as national champs and won a pinnacle crystal). I never thought I would be put in that position but it was a huge honor! I’m thankful for the younger kids that always talk to me and the level 3/4’s that are some of my best friends! And I’m extremely thankful for my teachers that never gave up on me! Also big shoutouts to my family and God because they support me the most and keep me sane. I love everyone who’s ever been apart of my dance journey (and only 1 year to go)!
