@erabellasmusic is taking over tomorrow coming at you with some killer harmonies at 7:30CST 🔥. The Erabellas are a Nashville-based vocal trio centered around tight harmonies. The group has performed in some of Music City's most famous venues such as the Franklin Theater @franklintheatre , Bluebird Cafe @bluebirdcafetn , and has even made an appearance on the Grand Ole Opry @opry . Heavily influenced by Bluegrass, Folk, and Country styles, the group showcases an Americana sound through creative originals and crowd-favorite covers that will intrigue all generations.
Additionally, the Erabellas are passionate about paying it forward through music education. They currently work with Nashville-based nonprofit, Carpenter’s Square @carpenterssquare , developing tuition-free music programs for students of diverse economic backgrounds.

(READ ON FOR A LITTLE SHOW PLUG) Man...let me tell you, I don’t know the last time I’ve been so nervous for a show. But I’m so very grateful for my killer band and lovey pals for making Commercial Showcase such an unforgettable experience. And I’m also grateful for the opportunity to get so very nervous about something, because it’s a little reminder that I’m growing and that I deeply love what I do.
.
And guess what? We’re doing it all over again TOMORROW! My senior recital is at 1pm in Massey Concert Hall. The whole gang is coming and the Erabellas are singing a little set, too. This is one of my last Belmont shows ever, so come celebrate with us!

I’m a day late, but in the spirit of #givingtuesday, I thought I’d give y’all a (not so) little update on the Grace Notes Music Program at Carpenter’s Square. Thanks to a lot of y’all, we raised over $15,000 dollars earlier this year to launch this program!
.
In June, we started our children’s choir and hosted a music day camp. 25 students spend a week with my fellow Erabellas, 4 incredible volunteers and myself. We held classes in voice, ukulele, percussion and music theory. Some highlights from the week included 3 guest speakers/performers from the Nashville music scene, an instrument petting zoo, and two end-of-camp performances! In the performances, our choir sang songs in 4 different languages, and played ukulele and percussion. My favorite part was seeing the pride in students who had never picked up an instrument and could play a whole tune on the uke just five days later. Special thanks to @jakeshimabukuro for making that possible!
.
This fall, many of our campers continued to study with us as we launched the private lesson section of our program. Students have the opportunity to take weekly lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, and voice, and it’s 100% free for all of our families. We’re looking forward to scheduling some performances in the spring semester!
.
I was fortunate enough to have access to great music education as a kid, and it changed my entire life. And it’s heartbreaking to me that not every kid may get that opportunity. I think access to arts education should be a right and not a privilege. Judging from the support this program has received, I think a lot of y’all agree.
.
Some of these kids will play music for the rest of their lives. Some of them won’t, but they’re learning endless lessons in logical thinking, collaboration and self expression. Most importantly, they’re learning how to use their talents to spread kindness and make the world a little brighter. And I think that’s really, really cool.
.
So thank you all SO much for helping this program get off the ground, and keep an eye out for periodic updates in the coming months. Much love and gratitude! ❤️

Last but not least of our April Show introductions is the @erabellasmusic !

The Erabellas is a Nashville trio centered around tight harmonies and heavily influenced by Bluegrass, Folk, and Country styles.
The band consists of Megan, Morgan, and Ally, who all currently attend Belmont University.
The group went into music because they want to use art to serve a greater good in humanity. They are super excited about the Grace Notes Music Program that they are launching this year. The program partners with Carpenter's Square, a nonprofit organization that provides youth development opportunities, among other things, in Nashville's fastest-growing community of immigrants and refugees. They’re introducing free private lessons, summer camps, and a multicultural children's choir to a community of people who are 87% more likely to experience poverty than the rest of the US. The program brings in instruments, teachers, and performance opportunities to kids who may not otherwise be exposed to music education…which is pretty awesome.

Weird Fact: In ancient Roman times, people used human urine as teeth whitener and, apparently, it worked really well...but they wouldn't recommend you try... Funny Joke: Morgan: Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making headlines! (To clarify, Ally and Megan do not find this joke particularly funny)
