What a great night celebrating the opening of the 40th Annual Spiritual & Religious Art of Utah Exhibition at @springvillemuseum !

Here’s a smattering of photos from the night taken by dear friends.

Huge congrats to all the artists; @crisbaird and @p_g_hay for their thoughtful jurying; and @alpbusico and @kyliekimball and the entire SMA team for hanging such a beautiful show

Thank you to @utahcountygovernment, @clyde.companies, @springvilleartcity and @utahartsandmuseums for providing support that makes this show possible! The county has supported this exhibition for years and it was so fun to have @skylerbeltran come this year and choose an award winner

It truly takes a village and I feel so lucky and honored to work with so many incredible people and share the transformative power of art ❤️🙌

What a great night at the opening of the 102nd Annual Spring Salon! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Utah artists, art, and community! It filled my soul to see and talk with so many of you. The Salon is an incredible showcase of over 200 Utah artists and artworks! Don’t miss it!

I hardly took any photos last night but was so grateful my bestie @saltlakecitybae could come down and of course @eric_boothe_art is the best and most supportive husband and museum volunteer in the world 😅

Tonight was the opening of the “Guilded Paradise” show at @byumoa
The “Gates of Paradise” by Lorenzo Ghiberti (a gilded gypsum cast of the original doors) are the star of the show and the story of how they made their way to this museum is amazing. Go see this exhibit!

Steve saw the original doors in Florence, Italy, outside on the baptistery (by the Duomo) on his mission, in 1986. Then they were moved inside to a museum and we saw them a few years ago when we were in Italy.
Go see this show!

Details from a great art weekend in Southern Utah! Was lucky enough to attend the @suma_museum art auction last night and get an art tour of Springdale with @willamarie_artist. Can’t wait to come back! And isn’t that detail from an Edie Roberson painting (first slide) just incredible? It’s from a dear friend’s private collection that we were here celebrating too.
