Last week I closed out my time at Rapha. Oh boy was that a 14month long, wild, passionate, truly global, challenging, effing exciting….ride. It’s only now I’m on the other side I can take a beat and note what we achieved in those 14 wee months. We developed and debuted a brand new retail concept, opening a 500sqm flagship in Shanghai, followed by US & Europe locations. Popped up all over the world, notable shoutout to the Rapha Royale at TDU ‘25 in Australia. Developed new guiding principles on how to display some of the most innovative/technical products I’ve ever worked with. I got on a bike, I learnt to clip in (S/O @sophie_titmarsh and her patience) and somehow rode on 4 continents in 8 countries?! But most importantly for those 14months, I got to work with the most talented team of people, all over the world. I have never ever been around a group of people that really truly love and deeply believe in one thing. It’s an ENERGY. I feel incredibly lucky to have done so, the magic that those passionate people create is something wildly powerful. It’s energising, humbling and guiding. Long live this kind of passion Long live the importance of physical retail Long live those strange folk in Lycra ❤️❤️
